Rb25 Gearbox

ok, i just got my skyline last friday its an r33 series 2, now my question is are the RB25 gearboxes like close ratio or somethn?? i was driving a honda before and im findidn it hard to get it into gear sometimes!! it mainly happens wen going down the gears from 2nd to first or wen i go from first to second it doesnt seem right. do u have to have it at a certain rev for a smooth change??

This is a common problem with R33s i own my second skyline and it does the same thing. nothing much to worry about, you can fix it but i think its expensive
