FACT: Stock for Stock at the motegi test track the EVO VII was significantly faster than the R34 GTR....let alone a GTT

So lancer or not they are better than anything we have got in our stable

already taken care of andy, anna replied to my pm i sent her a gazillion hrs ago (well this morning) and its all sorted ;)

yeah i loved that 33 and i miss it, but the gtr is going to be much more fun  ill eventually get another 33

anna, nothing will ever take away the fact that its in the same family as the LANCER

i thought stock vs stock, that the r34 gtr was always the better car? even though it weighs more, or a i horribly mistaken

Very horribly mistaken

I will show you the sad truth on the DVD some time

ok cool

You car is from the same family as the base model R32 with the CA18e...when you hit the throttle do you care??

bunta, i was not comparing the r34 gtr against the evo, i was saying, r32, r33, r34 gtrs... hell the r34 gtr is getting old, and almost all new sports car kill it ;)

nice cheap family sedan ;)

very nice indeed, the TME ones were really good, but very exxy when brand new

I like the fact that they have some mongerel....all the later one have all the nasty habits spanked out of them

As far as I recall you stated EVOs suck

I showed you an instance where they didnt suck, and it was a fair comparison as at the time both the EVO VII and the R34 GTR were new

;) Purchase now kthnx

Dare I say it...I've been eyeing off an Evo 9 for my runaround

Took a Mazda 3 MPS out for a bash last weekend...damn those things fly and they are FUN!!!

I'll tell you this...it would be very interesting to see it race down the quarter.

Max Torque hits at 2500rpm (380Nm) and goes all the way to 5000rpm and there's no turbo lag (no jokes people). Clutch is very bitey...feels like a button in some ways

if you look back up, i posted twice, the first one addressing the evo, and the second, was a respone to your 33 = boat and 34= ultra boat,

two seperate posts, with two seperate topics.

but ok, evo quicker i didnt know, but i personally wouldnt own one.

ahhh now I get your post

A R34 GTR is indeed better than a R33

Same for the GTS/GTT comparison

However the weight of the GTT starts to go against it when the mods start

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
