Shifter Wobble/movement

Hey ppls.

Well, my shifter has been getting more and more movement on it over the last few months.

Now, it moves around in the gate on a diameter of about 75mm.

Starting to effect shift.

What it wrong with it?

Should I replace it with a Nismo solid shifter?

I had a problem with my gtr when i got it which sounds the same as what you are describing.

Their is a small plastic bush that plugs over the bottom ball part of the gearstick that sits down inside the box. Pull your gearstick out (by removing the circlip) and see if you have this plastic bush? If you dont they are about $5 from Nissan (however im using a Toyota Hilux part as it fits perfectly and Nissan didnt have 1 in stock at the time).

Does that Bush stop the Oil from coming up?

Not that particular bush, but the 1 that has the circlip just above it would (its the pivot point).
