Will R33 GTR Climate Control work in GTST? (for relocation to shifter)

Was considering grabbing one of the shifter consoles that relocates the CC unit to the shift surround, but seems like only available for GTR.  Are the GTR and GTST CC units interchangeable (other than the notch of course)

The shifter surround appears to interchange, but you don't really need one anyways on a GTST. You can just put a double DIN in there without a relocation.
