hey guys

ive been searching for ages but cantr find what i need.

my problem is this, my battery goes flat within 8 hrs of not driving my car. its not the battery its been checked out. so theres something not turning off when it should be. i know the fault is on the electrics circuit, when i pull the fuse under the dash marked electrics it is fine. i can leave it over night and it starts fine.

what i need to know is what else is on this circuit other than the radio( the radio also has another fuse just for the radio its self) the radio isnt the problem. if i put the electrics fuse in and pull the radio fuse i still get a flat battery which proves that its not the radio.

can anyone help? does anyone have a diagram of the fuse box circuits?

when you pull the electrics fuse can you find something that doesnt work other than the radio and clock? i cant.

where would i find this sort of stuff out?

I'm not fantastic with electronics but here goes.

If you have a multimeter switch it to the amp setting. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and put the multimeter in series with the battery , ie -ve bat terminal to multimeter positive lead and -ve multimeter lead to earth cable. This will show you if you have an amp draw. If there is a decent draw then you can start removing fuses one at a time and watch the amp reading (helps with 2 people). If you remove a fuse and the amp draw drops significantly then you now know that you have a problem within that circuit. Simple elimination process.

Sometimes peoples boot lights stay on and will drain the battery.

Good Luck

thanks for the reply but thats what i have done i know its on the circuit marked electrics (refer to attachment from original post) so i know what circuit it is but dont know whats on this circuit. its marked electrics but my windows and mirrors still work when i pull it out. only thing that doesnt work is my radio and clock, that i can find anyway. if someone with the same car as me can pull out the electrics fuse and find something on this circuit other than the radio and clock that would help.

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
