I want to install a oil temp gauge in my R32.

Is there somewhere on the engine i can mount the sensor for a mechanical/electrical gauge?

I was thinkin of using an oil filter sandwich plate, but they look to bling to be any decent quality/good.

Any ideas of where to install the sensor?

Cheers

Ryan

An easier way to measure it is via a oil filter sandwich adaptor, much like this one.

Agreed its the oil before it goes into the motor but unlike a radiator, oil doesn't cool much in the sump before it goes back into the motor.

Yeh that wat i was talkin about that sandwich plate. I dunno about it, looks like it wont give a proper seal and might not last.

Oil cooler is a bit of an extreme as i dont thrash it much

The other option i was thinkin is makin a T-peice where the sump plug goes and screw it in there. The only thing is swirling of the oil might miss the sensor.

Is there any where in the engine block i can put the sensor (ie unused bolt screwd in the engine)

most oil temp sensors have a large probe.

Greddy make a sump plug replacement that you can screw your sensor into..

if the swirling of the oil misses a sensor there, then your oil pickup wont be getting oil either ..

Good point Craved i wasnt thinkin

Did u have a link or somethin for the greddy plug?
