PRICE IS CORRECT: $5,000 drive away.

Built by Lansvale Smash repairs and starting life as a VN commodore, This 5.0 litre mildly worked engine is fitted with a 5 speed close ratio short throw gearbox exiting via headers and a two into one exhaust system. This car was built to look like, sound like and go like a Supercar and was used mainly for display purposes. It is road registered and has spent its life being driven around to store openings, promotional outings photo shoots etc. We now use it to give people rides on Charity and promotional days. The car has the stiffest and most expensive Kmac suspension money can buy. It is painted in the colour sceme of a V8 supercar. It has been lightened by removal of many creature comforts like air, radio, etc. It still has a full VN commodore interior. Last week it was put on the Computer at a Holden Dealership and found (as expected) to be perfect. It is not for the quiet, mild mannered or weak of heart. It is basically a road going race car with many 10's of thousands spent on the car.

There is absolutely no chance of anyone taking it for a drive but I will start the car and drive it up and down our "long" driveway. My thoughts on the car is that It would make an ideal promotional vehicle or install a roll cage and take it racing. Or use it for drifting. Remember it has a genuine 5.0 litre with racing box and of course both are as new. Add the value of these near new items and the extraordinary suspension set up and you can see the asking price is spot on and thus not negotiable. car comes with 2 bolt on nosecones of various heights and two separate diffs for race and drift. If you are interested we are happy to lease the car back 2 days a year for $500 per day to use for our charity days in February and November.

Car has genuine 77,000 kilometres since new and is a two owner car.

why so cheap... why u selling? VN SS's are almost that cheap now and your sellin a race car for the same price... is the rego full rego or one where u have limited kms each year?

more pix? eg engine, interior, struts etc.........please

Engine is a stock VN 5.0 litre with mild cam and extractors.

Interior is stock Vn-Vp commodore

Struts requires removal of tyres to photograph.

The price is cheap so you can afford to come and look if interested.

Well if its cheap come and buy it....Im 46 and need to sell 8 of my cars as we are selling the house and the grounds look like a mess with 15 cars around the house. Also have HQ race car for $2k.

It is not a VN SS it is an executive with no air/radio built to Supercar Replica standard.

It is not a race car as it does not have a rollcage

It is a NSW normal full registered street car. There is no such thing in NSW as limited k rego. NSW only has street rego or conditional rego.

This is a full street registered car that can be driven anywhere.

not lookin at buyin right now... but i must say i, the HQ has aroused sum interest, got any info on this or any place where i might be able to find more info.

No photos as it is stored in a dark factory covered in dust.

let us know when your interested.

HQ racing is a popular form of cheap motor sport where all cars are limited to a 202 engine and 3 speed box.

what other car you got ?

What do you want?

I have 8 of the 15 for sale, Just sold my EVO 6.5 for $38k and my GTiR for $6k.

So far first looker has bought at full price.

haha glad I'm not the only one that was more interested in the HQ :D good luck with the sale Dom

Hi, Duncan. We should get the old HQ 3 speed 202 out on the wet Figure 8 at Eastern Creek. I actually bought it from a friend of yours in lalor park and then rebuilt it.

Thanks to the guy from race and rally who added this to the history of the car

"Hi

Just some interesting info on this car, i worked for Lansvale smash when this car was used to go to shopping centres as a promo car, Lansvale bought the car as it was and just resprayed it in there colours, but im 90% sure that when they bought the car, it came from melboune and was Larry Perkins ex promo car and was painted up in the white/red/green castrol colours.

Just thought id let you know, good price for what it is!

Good luck with the sale."

Hi Dominic, I'm looking for something along these lines for weekend events. I've read and re-read your initial post. Are there any other modifications to mention? eg. does is have the crankcase venting sorted? Or is the body stich welded?

I'm assuming the car's brakes are standard?

Cheers, Ben.

Other than a mild cam and extractors the engine is standard. The body is not stitch welded.

This is not a $30,000 race car.

Well my apologies for not knowing all the details! I was just trying to get a handle on, quote;

"This car was built to look like, sound like and go like a Supercar"

and, "many 10's of thousands spent on the car."

My apologies if Ive offended. Im just a genuine old bloke that wants to sell a cheap car and is copping shit from people who just want to take it for a drive or get me to drift it for them.

Its the weirdos that come looking at the car that annoy me. (Will take $4,550) They think that it should have air and full roll cage, and harnesses and Kevlar seats and carbon fibre everywhere for this much money.

The car has

Race gearbox and clutch

Stock 5.0 litre (with mild cam) (77k)

as new extractors into twin into 1 exhaust

Full Kmac supercar suspension kit

VS supercar body kit.

Stock Vn interior

Stock brakes

Rego due 13 July or I will renew at your expense.

It has NO air cond, radio, CD, DVD, Sunroof, Snap On seat covers, Stickers for HKS or even Greddy, No BOV, No Boost guage, No neons fitted underneath that dont light up Pink nor purple. No 28 inch sub speakers that play that Doof Doof music in tones that send your dogs insane.

It has a very ordinary paint job.

It is very cheap and I would never reccomend it to be driven on the road because:

Its too low, attracts too much attention and most importantly "people will laugh at you"..

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
