Polishing cannon mufflers

My girlfriend has got a stainless (I think) cannon muffler on her 180 (which she is selling ... the car that is )

How can we polish it up to make it look chrome looking?

It's fairly shiny at the moment but she wants it reflective

use stuff called autosol it good for polishing metal

Have you tried Brasso ? I have not used autosol before, may be the same stuff..

Mothers - Mag and Aluminium Polish (from Autobarn and I guess anywhere) with a buffing wheel on a drill did a top finish on my Intercooler pipes and plenum (after much effort with sanding discs, wet and dry, etc etc!)

brasso works wonders and it gets rid of the spots too

bt you need to rub real hard to get them off
