well then you need injectors, ecu, afm, clutch, diff, suspension.

4g's suddenly turns into a 8-10k adventure >_<

You heard the man NISMOID>>>he already got that sh*t so what a perfect scenario for an induction upgrade...

BTW i couldn't think of a more appropriate picture for you to have in ur display/profile - definately you to a tee haha.

Well from your last 3 posts, i'll gladly share it with ya >_<

Oh, and he still didnt have the injectors, presumably ECU as it wasnt mentioned, dif... So make 8k... 7k to do it all correctly.

Who said 8-10k again? Hmm... i wonder who that was. Not too far off the mark. Sure beats the seemingly un-intelligent 4grand

Un intelligent 4grand...that would be the best 4g's he could spend and who says he cant either a) fit it himself or b) get mates rates

The unintelligent money here is the 1650 he was gonna pay for a wastegate install

And also....we're missing the point here...Rami hasnt stated a budget so the possibilities are endless

10 points for trying NISMOID

All this coming from a guy who LOVES to let mechanics THRASH THE SH*T outa his bomby As* car

- An internal gate screamer pipe is just an exhaust leak, and won't get you the sound you want. (buy a split dump then cut it.. >_<)

- $1650 to put an external gate on your turbo sounds about right. There's a lot of work involved. They need to modify your manifold (spacer or otherwise) to fit the gate, then they need to weld up the holes in your turbo where the internal gate is, then they need to modify or fabricate a new dump/front pipe.... so ummm.. yeah, whole lot of work for a "bit of noise"....

- 14psi through a screamer sounds shit....

Wilch is spot on. $1650 is a about what it would cost to put one on. If you are going to spend $4g on a kit get a 6Boost kit, at least you will get a decent manifold unlike a reworked std one in the other kit. As for Rigolis they were the only blokes that i would take my car to before they moved back down to Sydney. The quality of there work was always exceptional and never had a problem with them.

Youve seen cheaper. Good on you, just because joe blogs down the road will dodgy something up, doesnt mean its worth it. Dont know about 6boost kits http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/sh....php?t=67194195 there you go. Im sure FStr32 will have something critical to say about that to or that you can get something cheaper but ive got one at the quality is excellent.

haha...chris is it. well chris, i merely said that i hadnt heard of the 6boost kit (i wasnt bagging it out like you made out i was) thanks for the education and stating the obvious but i'll give it a miss. I dont usually comment on these forums and only feel the need to challenge ppl when i feel that they are bein as*es. Forums are used for helpful discussions...not for ppl to excercise their superior knowledge in a way that makes other people feel inferior. Some ppl on these forums really need to take a reality check, we are all skyline enthusiasts here. By being critical about everything i am simply trying to make a point. Its bloody annoying isnt it...now you know how me and other ppl feel. --------> END OF STORY.

Mate have a read of the original question and then what you wrote in the thread and you will realise who the ass is. It wasnt till Wilch made a post that the question got an answer. I personal would go for a turbo kit as well but he wasnt asking that was he. So why dont you just answer the question instead of attacking other peoples opinions.

Mate...are you retarded? What i just said was that i was PURPOSELY being an ass in this topic so that some of you get the point about how f*kin annoying it is when other ppl do the same thing except they are serious! quote - "i am just trying to MAKE A POINT".

Wilch partly answered the question...No rami wasn't originally after a big hp turbo kit but i only suggested a turbo kit upgrade becuase i didnt see any point in him faulking out $1650 on a wastegate install when it wasnt even necessary for the mods he had. My suggestion was more of a "further down the track" suggestion if you get what i mean...who in there right mind would unnecessarily spend $1650 for something they didnt need...i know i wouldnt!

    • The team at OBD2 Australia are pretty good, shoot them an email and ask them. I've dealt with them before for work stuff. I'd be shocked if it didn't work, so long as Consult can activate the ABS. But you might need to use KLine for it which would be the stopper, as I don't think that piece does KLine comms.
    • Yeah and hence my ghetto way of slamming the brakes, get the ABS to cycle, rebleed seems to be a sensible workaround.
    • Hey! Happy to help. Nothing inherently wrong with the adapter, it's more so with Brett Collins himself. He gave me a lot of incorrect information when I was in contact with him and was extremely rude when I challenged him. He stated I could not use any aftermarket twin plate clutches except for his own, not to use the dush shield, bla bla bla and it was all BS.  Collins stated to cut roughly 14mm's off the housing, I took off 15mm to make room for the dust shield. I would confirm with whatever adapter manufacturer you're using.
    • There's plenty of OEM steering arms that are bolted on. Not in the same fashion/orientation as that one, to be sure, but still. Examples of what I'm thinking of would use holes like the ones that have the downward facing studs on the GTR uprights (down the bottom end, under the driveshaft opening, near the lower balljoint) and bolt a steering arm on using only 2 bolts that would be somewhat similarly in shear as these you're complainig about. I reckon old Holdens did that, and I've never seen a broken one of those.
    • Let's be honest, most of the people designing parts like the above, aren't engineers. Sometimes they come from disciplines that gives them more qualitative feel for design than quantitive, however, plenty of them have just picked up a license to Fusion and started making things. And that's the honest part about the majority of these guys making parts like that, they don't have huge R&D teams and heaps of time or experience working out the numbers on it. Shit, most smaller teams that do have real engineers still roll with "yeah, it should be okay, and does the job, let's make them and just see"...   The smaller guys like KiwiCNC, aren't the likes of Bosch etc with proper engineering procedures, and oversights, and sign off. As such, it's why they can produce a product to market a lot quicker, but it always comes back to, question it all.   I'm still not a fan of that bolt on piece. Why not just machine it all in one go? With the right design it's possible. The only reason I can see is if they want different heights/length for the tie rod to bolt to. And if they have the cncs themselves, they can easily offer that exact feature, and just machine it all in one go.
