I will be there.... So count in 1 more stagea..... we are just deciding on whether we wil be bringing down just the one or both of the stageas... I am trying to convince Wildcat to bring hers as well :)

sweet see yas there then, we need a cruise in the day one time to get some photos of all em the stageas together.

so lee are u coming to woodvale first?

wildcat and brett are you's going straight to citywest or woodvale first?

Sorry guys and girl but only just got home and didn't see this until too late

How was the Stagea turn out?

and yeah a day time one with photo shoot would be good

wasnt bad, had me, stage-a, wildcat and mr gts-t all show up but rain made it abit of a shitty night in the end, i bailed early for some fun on private roads with a couple of lunatics in external gated early model soarers, awesome fun, except i got highly embarrassed as mine is gutless  even got a bit of sideways action with my 4000rpm limiter cause it was wet haha

130hp yerrr baby :whistling: not fun for me but others had a ball.

got some photos of me and my mates saorer at a petrol station under the lights, ill post em soon if they look decent

if i see one more r33 gtst ill puke hahaha, gets abit boring with 3 billion of them and another 2 million r32 gun metal grey gtr's.

we need to start a rare model car club, for stageas, early model saorers, chasers, aristos, etc etc for abit of variety, one car make just gets too much.

you guys know what??! I got this crazy idea!!!

We all(imean everbody in this stagea discussion forum) all agree to meet in one place that we all agree on and we ship pur cars to the specified place and stay there for a few days!! Places thats got good raceways, good pubs, good rivers or sightseeing ETC. Charter a truck to truck our cars down!!! What do you guys think!?? We need a real good planner as well.

Great night!! :) good to finally meet some of you guys n gals (wildcat) even thjo i still gotta say wildcat cheats from the lights (said she cant run above 4000RPM then smokes me hahahah) :D Then Mr GTSTs black manual S2 just pulled away from me hard from the lights ... both very nice rides!!

Cruiseliners pics dont do any justice, that is pure cream material!! cant wait to see it fully tuned :(

Good turn out tho n some very nice peeps

hahhaa we had to pull out early n found our selves in the middle of a WRX cruise ... hhehee had sum more fun :D

should have new turbo etc fitted in time for the next one so watch out wildcat :D

Lee

Lee you so funny :) .... I only got to 5000 rpm :D Still havent really pushed the car hard...stuck to all the speed limits :D Have to say though i smoked you from the lights but you flew past me after that :D

Ill be waiting Lee....have a few tricks up my sleeve i can pull out incase you get close :D

Was finally nice to meet you lads too...put names to faces--hopefully we will catch up soon :(

Lee

hey lee, u got smoked by a chick?? u poor boy ;) haha jk, was a good meet, and the stageas definately added some good variety to the long list of skylines.

was about 100 cars all up i read on the WA thread

nice to meet you guys and gals too, we gotta get some good day shots and a nice day cruise when the weather is sunny :) and i need more power to keep up haha :)

heres another shot, the rest are way too dark to see, and my mate ended up locking his keys in his soarer and he had to smash the rear window to get in, which he wasnt happy with them being sooo rare.

i gotta grab a couple of videos of mine that we took in the tunnel and my mates soarer with his external gate and 3rd gear spin at 100kmh was pretty awesome :D sounds like a jet.

Good night I reckon....

Good to meet you boys too... :)

Highlight of the night was the brief run with the 33 GTST from the lights and the look on the passengers face when they werent pulling away... especially funny considering he got a little headstart and only had 2 people in the car compared to my 5 :(

Oi I want to see these vids brad!

ok heres a couple of links to a few. mines not very good with a 4k rpm limiter but it still shows u abit of cruisn, and mates gt30 7m mz20 soarer is pretty crazy with ext gate.

we dragged a series 8 rx7 in it today and cained it pretty damn easy so i'd say its got around 350rwhp and could run a high 12 at the moment. its only a home tune job with a safc and me and my mate tuning on road but its no where near how it should be and only running 14psi.

check em out :)

nuthin is illegal on the videos so no need to worry ska :)

mz20 take off from 80kmh

pretty boring i know but wait for some ext gate action from mine in the very near future :D im dieing for my tune to be done after going on the cruise and fanging around with mates with big power :) mine actually sounded the most stock of the lot ahhah :P

    • Cheers. Skyline is back on the menu, can’t get rid of it. It’s like a child you don’t want, or herpes
    • I got back to Japan in January and was keen to get back on track as quickly as possible. Europe is god-awful for track accessibility (by comparison), so I picked up a first-gen GT86 in December just to have something I could jump into right away. The Skyline came over in a container this time and landed in early January. It was a bit battered after Europe, though—I refused to do anything beyond essential upkeep while it was over there. The clutch master cylinder gave out, and so did the power steering. I didn’t even bother changing the oil; it was the same stuff that went in just before I left Japan the first time. Naughty. Power steering parts would’ve cost double with shipping and taxes, so knowing I’d be heading back to Japan, I just postponed it and powered through the arm workout. It took a solid three months to get the car back on the road. Registration was a nightmare this time around. There were a bunch of BS fees to navigate, and sourcing parts was a headache. I needed stock seats for shaken, mistakenly blew 34k JPY on some ENR34 seats—which, of course, didn’t fit—then ended up having the car’s technical sheet amended to register it as a two-seater with the Brides. Then there’s the GT86. Amazing car. Does everything I want it to do. Parts are cheap, easy to find, and I don’t care what anyone says—it’s super rewarding to drive. I’ve done a few basic mods: diff ratio, coilovers, discs, pads, seat, etc. It already had a new exhaust manifold and the 180kph limiter removed, so I assume it’s running some kind of map. I’ve just been thrashing it at the track non-stop—mostly Fuji Speedway now, since I need something with higher speed after all that autobahn time. The wheels on the R34 always pissed me off—too big, and it was a nightmare getting tires to fit properly under the arches. So I threw in the towel and bought something that fits better. Looks way cleaner too (at least to me)—less hotboy, less attention-seeking. Still an R34, though. Now for future plans. There are a few things still outstanding with the car. First up, the rear subframe needs an overhaul—that’s priority one. Next, I need to figure out an engine rebuild plan. No timeline yet, but I want to keep it economical—not cutting corners, just not throwing tens of thousands at a mechanic I can barely communicate with. And finally, paint. Plus a bit of tidying up here and there.
    • Nope, needed to clearance under the bar a little with a heat gun, a 1/2" extension as the "clearancer", and big hammer, I was aware of this from the onset, they fit a 2.0 with this intake no problems, but, the 2.5 is around 15mm taller than a 2.0, so "clearancing" was required  It "just" touched when test fitting, now, I have about 10mm of clearance  You cannot see where it was done, and so far, there's no contact when giving it the beans Happy days
    • It's been a while since I've updated this thread. The last year (and some) has been very hectic. In the second-half of 2024 I took the R34 on a trip through Germany, Italy, France and Switzerland - it was f*cking great. I got a little annoyed with the attention the car was getting around Europe and really didn't drive it that much. I could barely work on the car since I was living in an inner-city apartment (with underground parking). During the trip, the car lost power steering in France - split hose - and I ended up driving around 4,000kms with no power steering.  There were a few Nurburgring trips here and there, but in total the R34 amassed just shy of 7,000kms on European roads. Long story short, I broke up with the reason I was transferred to Europe for and requested to be moved back to Japan. The E90, loved it. It was a sunk cost of around EUR 10,000 and I sold it to a friend for EUR 1,500 just to get rid of it quickly. Trust me, moving countries f*cking sucks and I could not be bothered to be as methodical as I was the first time around.
