Well there is another thread here:

http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/33-gtst...4a-t174807.html

So he is gonna get the bias of both worlds, and have to filter it out :(

i'am a bit undicided at the moment, i dont wanna buy something then think later, what if i brought a ....... instead. i'am weighing up a few things between the two, like every day driveability, upgrade mods and so on. I was set on getting a 33, but i've seen a few people having trouble selling theres and i dont wanna get stuck with one forever. if the funds were available to me it would be 33 gtr for sure, hopefuly in a year or two, but till then its gtst or 200 for me.

S14a. I have an R33 and am looking at selling it to buy an S14. R33's are just to common, and the stigma attached to driving one is frustrating. Admittedly R33's have better specifications on paper, but they are both great cars. Looks wise S14a takes the cake, whereas an S14.5 is probably one of the hottest conversions possible. R33's seem to be dropping in value. People are selling these for much less than what they should be worth as the market is saturated. Good luck with whatever car you choose, but I feel you will probably be disapointed in the long run if you buy an R33.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
