hey i just got mine today. one is chipped and damaged but i'll ring up tomorrow & i'm sure just jap will happily exchange. one question tho steve you only sell these as a set so i assumed i could use both but ive been told that 33's have vct on the intake side & these cant be used. this means ive paid $300 to use one cam gear. Do you know if this is true or not? i'm hoping ive been told wrong

Hi mate, please clarify what you mean by damaged.

did you pickup your set in store or were they sent out to you?

If one of them was damaged in transit, which is very unusual, we will replace it no questions asked

Have you attempted to fit the gears?

Regarding the use of adjustable gears on an RB25 with VCT, some people use an adjustable gear on the exhaust side only, some choose to fit the gears to both intake and exhaust. If you purchased two and will only require one we are more than happy to refund you for the one you dont need.

Please give Darron a ring tommorrow on (02) 9545 0532 and we will sort this out immediately for you.

Cheers,

Steve

hey. the damage wasnt major but one of the tooth was dinted and the metal had been pushed out so it would of cut away at the belt. i dont think it was damaged in transit because it was packaged very well. I rang up and mentioned my issues with just jap today & they were happy to refund me for the cost of both the cam gear & the postage. Once again i'm very happy with the service

Please dont hesitate to ask if there is anything else that you need.

Steve just a quick question mate. Im assuming since there is no instruction on the cam gear that every line is equivalent to 2 degrees timing. Is that correct to assume?

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
