Repco Vouchers....castrol Oils...

Recommended Posts

Hi there...i need to get some Castrol oils...and am wondering if anyone has repco 20% vouchers with them that i can use first? I have a 20% voucher being mailed to me from them but it's gonna take up to a month which i cannot wait so long fer, so just wondering if anyone's willing to lend me theirs first and ill return a 20% voucher to them when i get mine.

Alternatively, can someone point me in the direction where i can get Castrol Oils cheap? I need....

1. 4.5L of Castrol Syntrax 75W90

2. 3L of Castrol SAF-XA 75W140

3. 2L of Castrol Transmax Z

And anyone has any input on getting Motul RBF600 brake fluid cheap?

Cheers~

Thanx AzzurrA~~! Yeah just went to Repco today to check on prices...seems like that list of oils is gonna cost over 300 bucks in total before the discount..so i really appreciate yer help in lending me the voucher first, ill prolly need to get it from ya in the coming week or so, ill PM ya again and arrange to pick it up from ya or something..once again thanx!

sorry about that dude :(

I didn't realise they had expiry dates/had expired (i had a quick look before you headed over and i couldn't see one :S)

as i said, give it a shot, they may not even check the expiry date on it...

or i still have that other one coming from when i pay my rego today, should be here within about a week

Wot i heard is that there are different promotions with rego payment at different time periods, perhaps at one time repco, another time its RACQ and etc....

Jason: i tried using the voucher, got rejected outright~

Anyone can help me out with a valid repco 20% voucher?

Apparently i think they dont offer it with rego renewal all the time thru the year...Karen just go to their website and sign on for the mailing list, they will then mail their catalogue and the voucher to ya. :D

Thanks Jyo for that

...motul can get expensive when paying retail :D

em...I work at repco....and i dont think that you will get anything really off the price of oils. I think repco makes about $5 a bottle selling it at retail price, so dont be surprised. The only way to get cheap oil is to buy cheap oil.

Well the last time i used a 20% voucher was to purchase motul 300V oils, and yeah it was discounted, as the premium oils like 300V are never on offer and always at retail, and the discount voucher is stated for ALL RETAIL priced products that are not on offer..so yeah..well Repco earns more than enuff, wots a few dollars off fer us poor owners?

    • Hi GTSBoy, Excuse my ignorance but what does a "Bad" Knee point mean ?
    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
