Which sick twisted mother fu**er would let it be raining???????

Just got up, heard a noise outside....rain!

I've just checked the forecast www.bom.com.au and it should be ok, Sydney will be fine just with the chance of a late shower.

I'm not to keen to ride in the rain but the chances are minimal so I'll see you there.

Great, Rach has cancelled which means Cassi can't go and that was a main reason for me going (not that it's Cassi's fault) I've just checked and my bike is 2 days out of rego.

I'm not to worried about the rego but I'm pissed off now so f**k it I'm not going.

Overall was a good day except for the sandblasting we got! Was really awesome to see the drifting live instead of on TV.

Also a massive thanks to Sinista for the coolant on the way home. No one knows how long i would have been stuck on the side of the hume hwy if he didn't have that! :)

Yeah that wind was ridicules, sweet drifting tho and them autosalon cars were crazy. Glad i had the video camera.

Drifting was great, Autosalon cars looked shmik! Dirt cyclones I can live without. Met some good peeps and the turnout was good for the cruise up.

One detractor was the front bar to rear clash I heard about from our guys approaching the entry gates. I feel for you guys. I'd like offer help if any one knows em.

Saw the S14 that copped the damage to the front when Psymon, Myself and some other bloke got there since we parked a row up from it. Doesn't look real good. Certainly feel for the owner, I used to see that car every day when I worked in belco and it was pretty nice.

All up a pretty good cruise, though things kinda fell apart after maccas when we all ended up split up :nuke: The drift was pretty sweet, too. Did any of you stick around till the end? I didn't see many of the cars there when I left at the end, though I stuck around for a bit to talk to a mate who was doing the judging. Half the time the judges couldn't see shit thanks to the dust and the wind was nearly tipping their little platform over XD Will post up the photos we got when I get them from my mates camera. Got some pretty awesome shots of the action.

i was there until the end, but god damn that wind/dust was giving me the shits. nothing like ruining a perfect day with crappy weather. i saw a few people, but mostly just watched the racing. saw heaps of skylines in the carpark and around, but couldn't remember who owned which...

Yeah that crash sucked! He is going to need a new bonnet (or at least some heavy pannel beating on it), front bar (which apparently he has one at home [YAY for him]), intercooler seemed fine, right hand side indicator was crack (but not broken), and the mounts for the front bar will need to be bent/fixed up. I'm asking around for parts and stuff.....I may not know him but you know SAU'ers and Nissan and lovers we have to stick up for one another! :D ... Well the day was awesome and final battle was pretty sweet....but one thing annoyed the hell out of me....the DAMN gail force propelled dirt. MEH! Just when I got home and had a shower, the water coming out of my hair was black! :(

Some of the Autosalon cars were just drewlable. Did anyone catch that JDM 350z? Or the two very sexual 32GT-R's?

How is the indicator sitch Richard? Shouldn't be too hard to get another...should it?

I have a few pics I took of the cruise up and when we were at Maccas on my phone (alright cam') and I'll post them up here in the next few days. I may have only been in a little BMW but did anyone catch the looks we were getting from kids and families on the highway....? <<< In a good way!

D-speed clear indicator, scarce and expensive :pirate: , I'm led to believe.

Maybe a good plastic welder type person. Any Ideas?

A decent plastic welder could fix them provided there is a marking on the case to say what sort of plastic was used when they were moulded so the plastic welder can use the right plastic. If the wrong type of plastic is used it won't hold up for very long at all. :O

    • Yeah I've had too many issues with knock off's on the BMW's. I don't want to do a job twice or more because the parts are shit.
    • I read this and thought "ah! I will do this scissor jack on the tow point thing!" I just use my floor/low profile/costco jack and lift the car up by the tow hook itself, then slide jack stands under. Never thought about using scissor into floor jack combo :p
    • Well, my new WMI system took much longer to finalize. I actually missed my dyno appointment last Friday and lost my 150$ deposit. I'll be going back in the next week or two.  To sum it up. I only kept the AEM tank from my old setup. I replaced the AEM pump with a higher flow/pressure ProMeth 30GPH pump. I also swapped over to a 6AN low pressure feed line to the pump from the tank. There's also a pressure switch you cannot see on the pump high pressure line.    This is feeding 6x 200CC direct port nozzles and 1x 500CC Pre Throttle body nozzle. All fittings are Swagelok, because well why not. I also have a 300PSI pressure sensor up front.    I now have my Haltech ECU controlling everything. I start my pump with a basic relay at 5PSI and deadhead it. I then PWM a 3000CC methanol Injector to control flow starting around 10psi. The pressure switch in the trunk, along with my tank level are safeties before I ever get to 10PSI, and then I use my pressure sensor upfront as a secondary safety to cut the WMI and corrections in case the injector blocks or a line ruptures.  Wish me luck on the dyno!
    • So, I'm back with bad news. There's no jack long enough on this planet that will reach the front subframe. If by some chance there is, it would weigh 200lb's.  I purchased a long reach jack... The damn thing weighted 120lb's and was massive. Didn't even come close, was still short at least a foot. It was a pain, but I brought it back. Next I decided HA! No problem, I'll get an Extra long reach jack. Well, I couldn't lift the box... It must have weighed 160LB's and luckily there was an open box in store. I took measurement and was still nowhere close.  Sadly I've lost hope and have accepted defeat.
    • Thanks for that tip, niZmO_Man. I think the battery is OK. It's quite a new one, but I'll check. Last time I needed a new battery, everything electronic was fine, except that there wasn't enough current to turn over the starter. I decided to order one of the partial AV system translation CDs from Car Audio Workshop in NZ. That might have some effect, or help me diagnose the date problem. 🤞
