My father told me just recently about a corporate weekend he was running. His boss asked him if he would like to go for a drive after the days workshops etc. He said sure, as the guy is his boss, and they proceeded to climb in his MY01 rex. As my father retold the story, I could hear the fear in his voice. :P He said he nearly needed to clean himself. The guy took him on some weird backroads. He said at one point he looked over, and the speedo was reading about 170. Moral of the story? drive quick enough to remind yourself you are alive.

I like that moral. I've only ever been past 170 twice, as I've never been on a track, and I tell you it's f*****g scary on a Sydney road. I clocked my car, heading southbound from the domestic airport and I never knew how bumpy this road was until then. It's a fairly new road but going that fast you tend to feel more of its flaws. Don't think I'll be doing that again.

Where in Europe? Were you born there? How do the roads compare to Sydney ones?

I'm from Europe too but I was too young to remember most things. My dad used to tell me stories of when he used to go to Germany. Those autobahns sound cool. You're doing 180 and the steering wheel is starting to shake and all of a sudden whoooosh. A BMW just passes you with no effort at all.
