Hi Ppl

I got a series 2 r33.

So far, i have got just a BOV and Intercooler Hybrid.

I recently bought Venom 800cc injectors, a fuel regulator and im getting a bosch 044 fuel pump and there installing tomorrow, would they run good without a computer. and also changing timing belt but thats not important.

im going to purchase an Apexi FC, just as soon as i get the money.

After the apexi Fc, im getting a bigger turbo, what would be the best and biggest turbo i could get running these mods, and what other mods do i need.

The fuel stuff will run good with standard computer but better with Apexi FC... the standard comp will take a wile to figger out whats going on and then probs slowly tune it back to specs so FC will help with that!!

dont know about turbos but depending on how far u want to go..

-exhaust system

-intake manifold

-cams & adjustable cam gears

-pullys

depends how far u want to go! and spend!!

Well i am gonna get the exhaust connection from the turbo with that cat thinggy (not too sure, i have have it now from half way, im going to connect from turbo soon $600)

I will be getting a newer manifold for the turbo, i heard using the standard manifold, you wont be able to get a big enough turbo, and the rest, i havnt heard off cams and pully, without making fun of me, what are they and what are they used for.

thats cool man...

good idea to get a decent dump pipe off your turbo (u could get one to suit new turbo)

cam shafts r what makes your valves go up and down.. and i can buy diffrent ones with diffrent off set degrease to extend the exhaust and intake opening for..

and you can buy lightened pullys to run your belts on... only worry about that when u have serious power...

You can fit a plenty well flowing turbo on the stock manifold.

Dude, you need to set:

A power goal

A budget

A current list of mods

1) I dont think 800cc injectors is worthwhile, its overkill and will affect economy adversly

2) A fuel reg - not required

3) Engine Management - 100% required if you are going to use larger injectors. It wont run with 800cc's on a stock ECU, or anything other than factory.

1. Power goal, i want 11-12 sec

2. a budget is at the moment $5500

3. 800cc venom injectors

fuel reg

fuel pump bosch 044

hybrid intercooler

gfb bov

exhaust from half way

turbo timer

apart from a kick ass entertainment unit, thats all the mods.

I was given a quote $3000 for T3/T4 turbo, manifold, dump pipe and fitting.

and about $1500 for apexi fc installed

You need a full exhaust, not just a cat back.

I would send your turbo to GCG for hi-flowing.

www.gcg.com.au

Sell the fuel reg/Injectors

Purchase more realistic sized injectors... Nismo 555/550cc, PowerFC, Z32 AFM.

You'll also need a clutch $1000-$1200

That will top out for $5500 easily, and you'll have around 250rwkw

firstly, if the timing belt is getting done make sure you do the bearings in there along with the seals and maybe even do the water pump. Also check the welsch plug behind the water pump as its a nightmare to replace later on.

Secondly, if a workshop is fitting up all these fuel system upgrades for you I would find another workshop. They should know and should of informed you that it wont work. They either dont have a clue or see you as an easy target.

Backyard billy would know that fitting the fuel system components you have on the stock ecu will result in an undriveable car. It will have fouled plugs and be blowing plumes of smoke before you get out there driveway.

    • Is it alright to top up with just another green coolant?
    • thanks GTSboy. My confusion at the moment is i am trying to locate the ignition, ECU battery power and the ECU negative The closest thing i can find is the for the S15 on Page 8 of the Wiring Specialties web page https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F33_M_GgENQnZ6STMxVmVNd1E/view?resourcekey=0-eZ4nNRwRoqa1qvKlWWHm8A I cannot find the same diagram for the R33 RB25DET Series 2 dash plug pin out.... Do you know what the Pins? or know where i can find the same pinout diagram for the RB dash plug? Thanks for the advice on the box... i like a 6 speed so might be on the lookout or the box now.. a topic of discussion for another post...
    • Will have a look at that. I cant see any leaks
    • Put another overflow bottle (ie, a 1.25 coke bottle or similar) under the overflow hose and see if it is being pushed out there or if it is disappearing into the engine.
    • Staring on a stand is no issue. You just have to wire everything up, give it fuel and cross your fingers that the stand is robust enough. Arranging the inlet plumbing is often the hardest part, without any surrounding structure to hand some of it from. No need for coolant if you only want to run it for <1 minute. As to the gearbox - I think the little Aisin box is a bit stronger than the other small Nissan boxes that went behind SRs, but I wouldn't be too keen to test its limits with the torque of a boosted 25. I don't know if you can retain the box and the tailshaft. The box won't connect to the RB without an adapter of some sort, which is either a plate that will push the engine forward (which is not good for fitting it into the bay's available space) or push the box back, which messes with the box position and tailshaft length - OR - cut and shut work on the bellhousing, which is a long way from "least modification". I'd be buying a new 370Z 6 speed or similar, doing what has to be done to that to make it fit RB (ie, cut and shut bellhousing) and the requisite tailshaft custom/mods.
