Hey boys

I bought this not too long ago but couldnt find a decent manifold for my rx7..

Its brand new, never fitted, never run, still got plastic seals n all...

So here it is, opened the box just to take pics, they are designed and engineered in the US by "HyperGear". This is NOT a cheap shit made in china, but korean built.

As it is brand new it still retains it 30,000KM or 6 month warranty.

This thing on a skyline should be nothing but awsome

Compressor wheel:

Inducer: 76.2 mm

Exducer: 56.8 mm

Turbine wheel:

Inducer: 74.2

Exducer: 56.6

Manifold flange: T3x

A/R: 0.58

Developed for: RB20DET, RB25DET, RB30DET engines. This Turbo is capable for 450HP application.

This is a high end performance turbo. The turbo responds is from about 3000RPM depends on engine type. This turbo is designed for track and drag racing. The max recommended boost out put is no higher then 25PSI.

10PSI actuator, Rear Dump pipe flange and hollow screw.

Also got a 3inch Stainless steel dump pipe for $50.

Im after $570 i got it for $620 3 months ago.

Pm or email [email protected]

Cheers

This is a dyno chat was from a mates car. Its a RB20DET Nissan cefiro pulling 214KW at 1 bar boost.. Just imagain how it will run on a rb30

Another mate of mine got 263.2kws out of this thing on a rb25, his had it for 12,000kms we took it out when we put in a new dump pipe, there was no shaft play what-so-ever.

10PSI actuator, Rear Dump pipe flange and hollow screw.

Cheers

on an rb25 are there any modifications required to fit this? like modified oil or cooler lines & will it fit on the stock manifold?

mite be interested in a few weeks if still for sale ill let u no. how much to send to sydney?

its around $20 all over aus

fits right onto stock manifold, u just need a braied oil lines, a dump pipe n 3inch stainless stell elblow

They look very very similar to Garretts TA34-1 turbocharger . Same specs but Garretts actually has "Garrett" cast into the comp cover and their turbine housing is dimensionally the same .

The term TA34 is the correct description of what many call T3/T4 hybrid though the turbine is TB31/TA34 not T3 . The compressor in those things is just a small trim TO4E wheel in a .50AR ratio TO4E cover . They are bush bearing and was told ages ago not a bad thing on an RB20 .

Fred from Turbologic in Port Kembla (near Woolongong) has been selling the Garret version for ages .

They were not developed specifically for Skylines .

About the best feature of these things is the T3 flanged integral gate exhaust housing in .58 AR ratio and with its native turbine series works well on 2-2.5L petrol engines . Not my choise of compressor for that turbine but hey they were developed in the dinosaur days .

Not bad if you can get the genuine one cheap , the other one - who knows . Price check .

Cheers A .

These are made 100% by Hypergear, they dont carry any parts made by or labled "garret"

These were engineered in the US, alough they are based on ur avarege t04e design, they have been made to spool up quicker...

Heres some ppl that have these turbos, Dr. Drift, Drift line, JSA performance, Holford motors, and various performance shops around Australia, MR 1JZ, WildR33, and even Sam from Dr.Drift at his own drifting car.

so is u take that other rear clamp off will it bolt straight on to ur existing dump? how much would it cost to fit the turbo all up?

no you need a new dump as the rear flange is v band...and I fitted mine on a stock manifold last night, requires a small amount of grinding but nothing major

Closed.

It has come to our attention that you are on-selling parts from Hypergear, this is not on.

Deliberately misleading moderators and attempting to skate around the rules will not be tolerated on SAU

    • Yeah nice idea, you mean to suction it to the gauges? I hadn't thought of that.
    • A few suggestions: Do you have the option of retarding your exhaust cam gear to bring the power band over to the left? VCT would be turned off after you make peak torque, you see the power/torque will decay faster with it left on all the way to the limiter Once VCT is turned off, you'll find the motor will take a bit more timing being ramped in Send its mum, more boost! Of course, depends on your exhaust pressure.

    • I was back on the dyno again yesterday after completely revamping my methanol injection system. I was making 440kw at 19psi. Great, this is more then I was making last summer with my old meth system at that pressure, and I figured it would be smooth sailing up to 30+psi. We continued increasing from there and by 25psi, I had only hit 455kw. Dyno sadly lost utility power at this point and I left. We seemed to be on course to hit the same power wall as last summer (477kw@27psi). This is a built RB25 S1 stroked to a 2.8. Built and ported head with Kelford 272/262 cams. Precision 6466 Turbo. Tuner last year believed the power wall is a mix of RPM limitations (Hydro lifters/Limit set at 7600RPM) and fueling. With my new meth system, we're seeing zero knock now but it still won't go up.  What else can I do at this point? Here's my train of thought.  - It's clear from the dyno graph that I would easily make power to 8500+RPM but I'm limited to 7600RPM. I could risk increasing my limiter, but hydro lifters have me worried. What are my options here besides going NEO head or solid lifter conversion? I'm rocking a 1.05AR turbine on my 6466. Would dropping down to a .84 help shift that power down in anyway? - We're only seeing roughly a 30kw difference at the top end with VCT on or off. Is this normal? I want to confirm VCT is working properly. - Should I look into other cam options?  - Should I just keep increasing boost and see if she wakes up later on? I would expect to hit 600rwkw around 35psi with my 6466.
