well if you want to hear your bov, you need to vent it, but when venting your bov your car will backfire, but if you like that and dont want to risk getting fined by the cops leave it as is. as for your exhaust, put a full 3 inch catback with high flow cat and front pipes will remove that restrictiveness of your stnd exhaust. plus id suggest getting a lager FMIC and get some pods in a airbox with some cold air ducting. will make the car feel sweeter to drive

well the bov should vent when you lift your foot after you give it a decent amount of throttle when sitting on the spot. if it doesn't then it may be blocked. if you take the bov off you should be able to push the plunger up with your fingers with a little bit of force.

Andy, you ask a lot of the same questions.

I have some for you.

1.) when you are driving hard and you are boosting, what sound do you hear in between gear changes?

2.) you have HKS SSQV bov yes?

Like this one..

hks_super_bov3.jpg

See on the back where there is a brass fitting.. just below that, right in the middle of the bov, there is an adjustment screw.

If you adjust that ANTI CLOCKWISE (turning it to the left), it will LOOSEN the spring inside.

This will make it easier for the bov to open when you change gears or take your foot off the pedal. So you should be able to hear it more.

BUT, if you loosen it too much, the car might STALL as it is leaking too much air.

ALSO, you will NOT hear the noise by just revving your engine in neutral. Because it does not make boost in neutral.

Only when you are driving.

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
