Hi, all !

I'm planning my shopping list for cefiro.

Please correct me where possible:

1.Skyline RB20DET frontcut. Or engine package will do ? I heard the wiring is different to cefiro.

2.Coilovers: s13 ? Or S14 front, s13 rear ?

3.Rear axle: r32 gtst with diff or stagea rear axle? 5 stud. I think there was one ceffy runing r32 gtr diff in the back ? Any info on that ? what about r33 ? stagea ?

4.Front callipers: r32 gtst 4 pot or hcr33 ? Will they work with non-abs car ? Anything else needed to fit those r33 callipers ? Can one go with bnr32 or bcnr33 callipers ?

5.Front hubs: direct swap from r32 or s14 ? Which one is better ?

6.Swaybars ? r32 gtr in the rear ?

7.Strut tower bars ? Front s13, back r32 ?

8.Castor rods, tie rods - s13 ?

9.Exhaust : will r32 gtst fit ? Or have to get a cefiro special ? Any good choice for silent power ? :D

10.Roll cage ? Which one fits ?

11.Wheels: r32 gtst will fit with 5 stud conversion, what about if I get r33 callipers ? What about bnr32 wheels ? bcnr33 wheels (do they fit without rolling the guards ?)?

12.Does a32 front dash fit ? Any photos ?

13.Nissan digitial climate from 180sx ? Any quick wiring solution ? hehe.

14.Seats: Front(gtst, gtr, r33 ?) which ones fit ? What about the rears ? Which ones are better ? Any photos ?

Any feedback is welcome !

Thanks ! :spank:

P.S.

I did read the substitute parts topic!

I need some feedback and advice on which ones are better.

1. engine package should be fine as long as you get loom / ecu / engine / box

2. S13 coilovers front and rear - i run ISC coilovers $1399 brand new and these are PHAT

3. 5stud conversion? pretty sure s13 cradle is the same / so possible 32 also / s14 other ppl know more on this than myself

4. 32 gtst 4spot calipers bolt up - but you need 33N/A discs (if keeping 4stud) / appropriate brake lines / master cylinder

5. hubs - both should be fine

6. 32 gtr will fit in rear

7. front strut tower bar is a31 specific or most s13 fit aslong as the design alows clearance over the top. rear strut bar needs a31 specific or a universal type for s13/a31 as strut tops mount on a different direction

8. s13 castor rods fit

9. cefiro specific exhaust is needed / custom

10. cefiro specific / laurel i think ... unless modifying another nissan cage (although a custom weld in cage may be mandatory in the near future ruling out all jap cages in oz)

11. most wheels will fit - all depends on offset - the 32/33 should be fine

12. NFI... lol

13. not sure also - but guess it'd be the same as converting it in a s13 - just get the control panel and loom and wire up accordingly

14. 32 / 33 seats & rails fit directly - s13 does NOT.

Thanks for the write up! Any info on turbo r33 calipers fit ? Or gtr ones ?

Rear seats from r33 are they better than r32 ?

And another stupid question. Where is the consult port in the hcr32 ? I mean will I be able to get it with frontcut ?

Thanks !

Keep the cef rear seats, they arent too bad. Front ones really anything skyline should fit.

Suspension I personally would recomend getting bilstien stuff, its in my oppinion far superiour to anything else in its price range.

Brakes its all going to fit, just depends on the wheels you get with it. GTR wheels should fit... but seriously they are a lot for whats a 'stock' item. Personally I would get R32 or R33 brakes, whichever you can get cheapest, and spend the money you have saved on brembos on good pads, good brake fuild, a caliper rebuild, braided lines and good slotted disks, this I feel would produce better results. Bang for buck :(

Engine no idea, I have an R32 RB20 in mine, the oil pressure sender isnt hooked up... Thats about it I think.

Sway bars, get aftermarket only. A gtr one is going to do close enough to squat all. S13 should work.

Digital climate control is apparently SO much of a stuff about as there is an extra sensor on the digi ones, I wouldnt bother its still going to work the same.

Thats about all I can help you with atm.

KICKIN, you probably have something  But I can't get your stuff since I'm in China, Beijing. Not AU >_< Have to go to HongKong to shop for parts :woot:

So does GTR diff box fit ? Halfshafts ? S15 hubs work too ?

dangerous_daveo, about the calipers. I wanted to get nissan best available. Since r33 gtr brembos aren't very expensive. So I wanted to check if they will work on non-abs car.

What about the brakelines ? Which ones fit ? r32 ?

THanks !

By the way, where is the consult port ?

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
