we should have regular mod days - i know guys in other states have them. just spend a saturday or sunday doing mods to each others cars over a few beers / lunch

Again thanks for Andrew who went out of his way to come over and lend us his power tools. Much appreciated.

Darren and Ash for lending us their tools and Darren for coming over in person to lend a hand.

hence why im keeping them and may do the occassional bubble thought thing hehe

your car looks just as good in that pic as it does in person. too bad i didnt take before and after pics of sam and my car. ah well, there always next time.

Well someone had to take the pics. your right sam. car is stiff - stupidly stiff. I drove on all road surfaces since saturday and omfg, adel's road is so bumpy. I went for a drive in the hills, suspension loves it but diff scares the sh!t out of me - coilovers + diff = wierd noises when going over bumps. How's the blistein/whiteline package go so far, how was drive to murray?

yeah those coilovers a definately solid, they are at home in the hills, barely any roll at all hey. my new suspension feels really good, but i need a wheel allignment and adjustable stabliliser bars. i couldnt help but take the gorge rd home

no worries for the lend of the power tools guys - I wish I didn't already have plans, I would have stayed to help you. Missed Darren too - what a bummer .... I must have left too early. Ah well next time!

Yes we should definitely have some mod days - got heaps of room in my garage and a nice bbq out the back and relax area. I am going to get some coilovers or the SK Bilstein group buy stuff like Sam and Ash in the not-too-distant future .... might have to have you guys over for a barbie and suspension changeover :P

sorry i didnt drop by today. went to a mates and when i left it was bout 6:30, so though next time. that and the fact that his area - stoneyfell, had no reception didnt help to notify you.

but yeah, a occasional mod day would be sweet. i had this chat with vange a while back, he's keen on the idea - actually i think it was his idea.

this is where i got mine from Duc

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
