Gtr Boosting Problem

how do i put it back down to stock boost ?? coz i dont have the restrictor? and i will take the pods off and give it ago

well if theres no restrictor then how is it going to 1 bar?

the stock actuator should open at 0.75kgcm2

which is not near 1 bar

it is knowed that if u pull the retrictor out u will run 1 bar, i no of a ffew gtrs running 1 bar with the restricot out and no boost controller

well thats how i bought the car and as soon as i got the money there will be a new motors and turbos in the ebgine bay

anyways thx pual i really apprecate the time u put in to this, after i get my car back (4week bein painted again coz wasnt done rite the first time) i will try taking the pods off, and if ur rite i will get u a slab!

im guessing the olive has been removed from it to get 14.5 psi, i have done this aswell on my 33 gtr and noticed the same thing,its pretty sucky to notice theres shit all boost when someone pulls up next to you.I have noticed it will cut the boost under load only, once boost is down you have to turn the car off then on to get boost again.try putting it in 3rd gear and load the car from low revs(it should cut out the boost). its taken a bit of time for me to work it out but im pretty sure you have the exact same problem.

Blame magazines they advertise the fact to pull the olive out:)

SOLUTION: just put the olive back in an get a boost controller. now how about that slab ?

My old 180 used to have the same problem and it was the knock sensor that caused it - fairly common problem on them too

As i metioned on the previous page that i have the same problem. Im running pods & exhaust. I pulled the olive out and it did run 1 bar for a few months then i noticed it was only making half a bar, so i put the olive back in and it seemed to run alot better. Im not sure what the go is but please help keen to find out what the problem is?? Thanks

and also can i use just a bleed valve type boost controller or dose it have to be a EBC?
