Was a great night but too many people and too few tables!! 23 at last count, could have been more though.

Would have been nice if we could have all sat together, but with some moving about and socialising in the car park afterward, it was a great night. Even the cops taking our number plates down didn't dampen our spirits!!

Good to see the Unicorn on the road (Even if it has to return to the "hoist" tomorrow) Some lovely cars were present and drooled over by most of us.

I'm trying to organise dinner next week but it can't be on the Tuesday as the restaurant I'm trying for isn't open on Tuesdays. So what is everyone's preference?? Monday or Wednesday??

The restaurant is the Rasa Ria just off Sandgate Road at Clayfield (Map to follow) Good food at very reasonable prices and I love the place.

was a good night, i finally got my act together and made it to a chilleh. didnt end up meeting everyone there, but there will be another time.

anna, hope u get better soonly...but i gotta say, i told u u shouldnt have ordered that pumkin soup :woot:

We hung around for a little bit after you guys left and we got a drive by from some of Queensland's finest!!

They took down our number plates and drove around the car park twice and then left.

Karen stared at them and mouthed a few demands but they didn't bite.

I wouldn't have said it was your fault Paul...I think they were just looking for any reason to nab us. Besides your car was "hidden" on the other side of teh carpark

Was great to see sooo many people at dinner >_<

Dave, just make the decision with regard to the day with dinner...if people can't make, then I guess they can't make it

but but i specifically requested the early shift next tues so i could make dinner, that meant doing lates mon and wed nite, more notice would have been good!

Sux2BU Isaac!!!!

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one!!!

I will speak to the restaurant and ask them how many they can accomodate and which night would be better.

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
