Screamer Pipes?

I have a split dump pipe, i was thinking of sealing up the hole where it plumbs back in eg nice and neat not bodgey! Will this increse response and reduce lag? Mods> fmic, stock gtt ecu, 3'' exhaust, modded cat.... general crap... anyone help me out? Cheers

for the sort of level you are at a screamer pipe isn't worth it. there would be minimal power gains, and a HUGE (talking around $10,000) fine if you get pulled over and caught with it. it is the same as having not cat, but much more visible/audible.
