P Plate Power Restrictions

just wondering, my brother has his licence atm and he is on his P plates (QLD) , if he buys a line now will he be able to drive it next year with the new restrictions, or do power restrictions only apply to people who gain their licence from July 2007?

dunno why you put it in the NSW section, but if its anything like NSW in QLD, then he should be sweet to buy a skyline now.

In NSW, everyone who got there P's from July 8 2005 on, got a little 'Y' in conditions on the actual licence. If you got your P's on July 7, you werent bound be the evil 'Y' and could drive a turbo.

didnt mean to put it there, just ring up and they said if have licence before July 2007 you can drive v8 and turbo!

Aslong as u have proof you owned the vehicle before the provisions come in, your sweet

actually as long as you had your licence before the cut off date you do not need to worry bout the restriction as i just bout my first line 2 weeks ago and i got my green ps before the cut off date but if you got even your green ps after that date you have the restriction it only applies to anyone who had to get their licence learners red p platers and green p platers who got their licence after the cut off date. i check before buying my baby :PBJ:
