I actually heard about this on Saturday apparently they just wanted to wait to take him off life support until after the race. Very Very unfortunate and is definatly a sad time for motorsport in general. According to another news sorce a Japanese man died at heathcote testing his newly aquired Jet Dragster.

Sincere condolences go to Porters family, especially his wife and 1 year old son. I also have a 1 year old son and could not imagine him growing up without his father. Thoughts also go to the Clarke family for this horrible tragedy.
