Hi everyone..

I have a few sets of coilovers, I've decided to get rebuilt..

I was just wondering where people have sent or got their coilovers rebuilt in the past & how much it cost?

If it matters what Brand they are then;

2x Front pairs of JIC

1x Front pair of Teins

1x Front pair of Keioffices

1x Rear pair of Teins

1x Rear pair of Keioffices

1x Rear pair of Bilsteins

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Regards,

Sherwin

what are they for? got a front set for a r33 gtst?

Sorry mate..

These are all for S13's..

I want to rebuild them so I can use them in my Sprinters..

The Rears can be used in R32s however..

Sell them all, get new stuff hey. That is my advice from having rebuilds done myself. Maybe get the bilsteins rebuilt, the others flog them off. Let it be someone elses problem.

Na, I want these for my cars..

So I think i will go through the hassels of rebuilding them..

Hi Sherwin,

Try The Shockabsorber Reconditioners www.shockreco.com.au they are up in Slacks Creek, Queensland.. I was quoted around $160- $180 per coilover :)

Thanks mate..

That is what I want to hear..

A place and a Price.. ;)

I will go around there one day and see what price they give me..

Dude, thats where I went. Trust me when I say sell what you have, buy something new. 12months 3 of my shocks died, they have a 30 day warrenty. And low and behold they were keioffice.

Im happy for you to throw your money away, but mine were also rebuilt to suit a much softer spring which should have increased their life. I also never had the car on a track, off road, and I NEVER drifted it. They still died from normal every day road use.

I now have new bilsteins in it, and they are 100% better.

And Im not the only one.

I had 4 JICs rebuilt with KYB inserts at TSR and they were going strong for 18 months up to when i sold my car. They were a little more $$$ then mentioned above though - $200+ per corner.

Hi everyone,

I think I will go here..I hear that they do great work and at a reasonable rate (Unlike TSR).

W.W. Shock Absorbers Pty Ltd

is there any good places in NSW to egt this done?.. ive got a whole set of GAB coilovers i wouldnt mind getting rebuilt for that price.
im with you,any places in nsw?

If you's can't find any, I think it's like $70 postage either way for a full set?

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
