Everyone knows Schumie is "the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be" :spank:

"People don't understand how good he is. To beat Michael in equal equipment isn't possible, to beat him in better equipment is, thats what Hill did, what Villieneuve did and what Hakkinen did..." Eddie Irvine...

I'm VERY one eyed.

Schumey's good, but how can you compare him to Senna, Prost or Fangio? Senna was a freak and give him a crap car and he too will give you a good run for your money. I reckon these 2 are on par. Prost is a champion in the turbo era and the post-turbo era. Driving the old turbo cars, you need balls of steel cause 1000bhp is not easy to tame. Fangio, need I say, the man who came up with the modern racing techniques.

But the biggest arguement I have is if you have the backing of an entire team, of course you will do very well.

I was waiting for that...

Not completely true. Duncan as a racer yourself and I race karts at state and club level, there is no way in the world you'd risk race points or a possible win by overtaking a damaged car...excatly what Hill did.

Villeneuve, Shumacher admitted he did it and stated that it was his biggest regret in F1

Various Coulthard accounts...Coulthard doesn't count..hehehe

I think he races hard, on the fineline, but not as bad as some make it out to be...

But then again, I think the bloke is amazing...

Those incidences put me off Schuey completely. Thought he was a real champ till he rammed Hill of. In my books, Hill is 2 time champ. JV incident, made me see satin in him.

No doubt he's the best of this generation. His brother.... well.... I doubt he will reach Michael's hights.

The debate still rages about Senna, it doesn't deserve an answer I think out of respect to the great man Senna was...I personally dislike the comment that Senna was pushing too hard trying to compete with Schumacher.

Fangio, well its uncomparable, its a different era, we're talking about time here when team orders meant to pull your car in and give it to the lead driver if his car was not performing or damaged!

Still based on the points scored/poduims view...Shumacher is a clear cut winner, with the added bouns he hasn't always had the best car, and took on a Ferrari drive when they where far from teh best team.

As far as I know, Prost and Senna always had cars capable of obtaining a top 3 finish.

I dont admire Hill very much but respect him for what he tried to do, which no one has ever done before. He went from a top team to shit bottom crap team as world champ? and he almost succeeded in a win at Silverstone, England if it wern't for mechanical failure. Alot of people overlook him and i think he deserves more credit than he gets.

Its in italy.... i know where the smart money is... plus, added bonus of the italian mafia making sure a ferrari wins.

By the way, Hill was booted from Williams before he won the world championship...from memory... had no choice but arrows (?!)

Hill won the championship in 96 and should of been in 94!

Senna didnt always have the best car, 88 yes but no other year was he in the clear cut favourite. Those days it was more even racing. Im sick of hearing of how Schumacher wasnt always in the best car!

Gr8 race once again. I love this new rule cause qualifying means almost jack and you actually get to see cars slice and dice! And I'm re-learning what "overtaking" is again... :)

Congrats to Schuey on a well deserved win, and for performing especially when dealing with the loss of his mother.

Webber, well.... What can I say? Bad start only to recover a little then the Jag going POP.

Hey, I think we were watching different races! I only saw one overtaking manouver all night - barricello on r schumaker coming onto the straight. The rest was m schumaker driving away and mistakes in the pits.

I was dissappointed, I love watching close racing and dicing, and this race wasn't that.

Having said that, maybe there was better racing elsewhere in the field, I think they only showed 6 cars all race

It's not the ontrack overtaking. It's more the pit stop stratagy I like. But love when they bang wheels overtaking too (not jerez 97 style though...)

Everyone thought that the macs we're slow cause of their qualifying stuff-ups but on race day it was a different story.

The mclarens is a developed version of last years car. Last year they used the mp4-17a/b/c specs. This year they used the d spec car.

The ferrari is still a quick car, only it was driver errors which let ferrari down until the san marino.

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
