Actually, Allara did help me work out a few settings on my AVCR....maybe you should ask her to take a look before you give the unit a throw :)

Hope you don't mind Allara....haha.. Signing you up for some free work.

You think? Its pretty easy to tell....... Did you need someone to have a look?

lol thats all right Christian i owe will anyway lol. But i think will has some problems with the wiring thou due to a few things i noticed about his car the other day.

And Will, your stock boost gauge should still be working on the dash isnt it?

get rid of the avc-r bud

worse electronic boost controller ever made!!!!

it always spikes and can never keep a steady boost increase

either a HKS EVC or a Blitz SBC both are great products, however i don't need to run one as my car will run 14psi naturally with my exhaust and intake mods :>

the blitz sbc is alright. i wouldn't put it at the top of my Christmas list thou. I have had one in my car for a while now and i just don't seem to take that much of a fancy to it anymore.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so much laughter in that!!!!!!!!!

dude, get a real boost controller

go get a eboost2 boost controller

best one on the market ever

Most electronic boost controllers are over rated.Blitz are ok I did have one but had issues with it not wanting to work porperly with my old 33 which had just a ats hi flow turbo. it didnt like the wastgate arm being modified and the wasgate was far too small fo it.

AVCR ARE a not bad unit aswell. The boost spiking cant just be pin pointed to EBC's alot more is involved depending on your set up.

Eboost2 are from what i heard to be a reasonably good unit.Never used one but the first eboost worked very well on several cars i knew.

Best boost controller is either straight off the wastgate or a simple bleed valve...But thats just my opinion and from experiences.

naw my boost gauge on my dash wont go into positive boost, it will start at like -272 and then reach its way up to 0 but wont go any further :(

I can pay either christian or allara if yous can fix my problem or any1 else for that matter

vaccum or boost leak somewhere? is your car running ok still or running rough? check all your hoses to make sure they havent split or come off. sometimes this can play havok.

hey will, zaine and i can take a look at it if you would like, no cost of course seeming you shouted me at the drags on Saturday. Just let us know when is best for you and we can organize to get it done for you :(.

well i havent had any problems with mine so far, its works fine. nothing wrong with them.

last 2 i had would spike an extra 2 psi then what i had it set to.

and matty spry did the tunes on them and he would be by far more knowledgable on all the apexi gear.

ahh ur not quilified in any installation of anything mechanical or eletrical

so i wouldnt trust you doing any installation on any car.

but if people want to risk their lives with someone who could blow their car up, then go for it.

again, i wouldnt trust you doing a install specially after u came to me askin to help with your AUTO stalling a lot of the time and u couldnt even fix that.

nice to see u finally found someone new to scab some money off.

dont have to ask me anymore :P

    • Hello, sorry for being late to join the discussion, but my clock just died on me.   Ive tried to look at Michaels digital clock repair.docx and it doesnt work maybe the file has expired.   Please let me know if you can re upload it or take some youtube videos to show us how to get the clock installed? thanks
    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
