i dunno i always enjoy somthing new and this game so far has been nothing but fun... with your score you seem pretty die hard BF2 maybe you need to be less serious... do you hit the monitor alot??

LOL um no i dont really play THAT much!

In the past 4-5 months i have prob played it maybe 7-8 times.

Im just saying that all this game is, is basically a MOD of of BF2 thats all, thats why i hated it!

Nothing new (basically same game), not realistic (future), EA (spyware)

the spyware thing is a myth... i was joking about the die hard hehe...

how much can u change a great game already?? i think its a pretty good representation of the future...

well dude if you do get it and you want to join a good squad hit me up...

cheers

yeah you know what i agree, that i felt discouraged when i played the demo...

but when the full game came out my image totally changed.... oh well...

This thread is mainly just for finding people that DO play and would like to have some fun...

I think the game lacks shooting physics. Sucks to be point blank with someone, shooting at them and they turn around a shoot you after you've emptied your clip. Still, Im that much of a stat whore any game that has rankings I'll play.

Hit us up, Name: Sgt.Scrub (Yes, lame but I couldnt find one that wasnt taken)

Normally on Internode servers!

Ingame name: [sPZ] bubbajugs

Found: Usually on Internode or EA AU (gheyarena) servers

P.S. Aim for the head, 2142 has heavy body armour which BF2 did not. You will find a lot of the smaller calibre rounds just bounce off the armour.. i.e. full clip to the chest point blank nothing happens.. one round to the head BOOM HEADSHOT.

P.P.S. I love knifing people

I just recently bought this after looking for something to replace or at least equal Tribes2.

Have not played BF2 so hopefully when I eventually get it going I will like it.

Just blackscreens and reverts back to desktop.

My CPU is P4 1.7 Xeon but lists as 1.69 and a Exclamation mark in diag.

1 Gb RAM and 128Mb VGA seems OK to diag.

I suspect it is starting in a resolution that my graphics cant handle or something??

Even on Tribes2 I have everything turned down and its five years old!

I know I shoul buy a decent computer or new grapics card but that would make it harder to mod the Skyline

Your graphics card is probably not supported.

All BF games are wannabe soldier sims and only just got decent graphics.

Min System Requirements:

Windows XP (32-bit) with Admin rights

1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater

512 MB of RAM or more

8x or faster CD/DVD drive

2.3 GB free hard drive space or more

DirectX 9.0c compatible

128Mb Video card or more

yeah bro your border line and if you do get it running, your CPU is gonna hate you... as its burning up//

shit man a new "no-OS" 3Ghz system is only like $300... get up with the times yo!

2142 is pretty resource hungry and yeah new systems aren't that pricey, just don't go to a store :(

I built my system, as follows, for a little over $1100..

AMD Athlon64 x2 4200+ dualcore

Asus Sli motherboard

2.0Gb Team Xtreem RAM (2-3-2-4)

600W PSU (some shiny thing)

2x XFX 7600GT's

Upgraded DVD drive but retained everything else.

Pentium 3.4 cranked to a 3.6 thankyou water cooling..

SLR with Dual ATi X850PE customized to operate minus cooling fans..

2 GIG Ram

Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse

anybody thinking of getting this... i know i am... www.killernic.com

I havent played 2142 in awhile, because it hardly runs on my system.

AMD Athlon XP+ 2600

1gig DDR400 Kingston

80gig 5400RPM HDD

ATI 256mb 9600XT

and Buuba! You got all that for under $1100? Damn... thats pretty good!

Well upgraded my Graphics card and found that the game will load and play. Specs Below if interested.

PLAY??? well if you count playing like in a dream moving through honey in slow motion.

A317316 (nic - my ex service #) sure took a lot of lead the first and last game.

Oh well at least Tribes2 plays a bit better now at 40FPS :)

Why do I bother trying to find a replacement to T2??

Its probably like owning a Mines R34GT-R Nur Spec and think you will be happier in a Porsche, NOT!

Boring bit:= **EDITED OUT***

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
