welcome!

haven't finished decorating yet, but as you can see, it'll look absolutely goooorgeous when it's finished.

I doubt i'll be staying up for the race george :)

But I'll try my best :)

if i don't, I'll just have to find out about Montoyas victory tomorrow I guess (pokes tongue out at urmine again :D Where are u urmine? and why won't you BITE!!! :) )

hahahahha pffft.. montoya will most prob smash into someone first lap...

shell u should know by now that the ferrari's dont seem to run as good in qualifying as they do under race conditions.. thats all i have to say :D

oh and shell watch out for the mclarens tonight i think :)

Well, I didn't stay up for the race, I got a few hours sleep and then got up to watch it! Then straight off to work :D

Glad I did get up though - damn good race. I was very impressed with Villeneuve, finally getting some points and almost a podium. It's a damn shame he didn't get on the podium... I had a bet on him and would have won lots of money!!

Oh well, maybe next time... when the race will also be delayed until 4:50am due to golf.

hehe URmine, I love JPM...but there's not way I'll be betting with u if you're going for Schuey

what an awesome race tho!

rain, tyre changes galore, fuel thingys getting stuck, overtaking, cars spinning off....makes a change....

Pity about Webber not finishing

I decided to stay up after all

hahah shell u shouldnt bet against me full stop .. u know im always right.. and when it looks like im wrong.. im still right then as well!!!..

and i couldnt agree more it was an awesome race!!.. i love it when it rains in f1.. so much excitement, u also get to the who the better drivers tend to be as well as it evens up the field, i agree with what good old aj says.. they should just put water over the race track to make it a bit more exciting sometimes

When JPM almost took out Barichello I was on my feet yelling and swearing at the TV, waving my arms around and stuff.

I had $10 on Villeneuve for a podium finish, would have won $700. It's probably the only time ever I've seen two cars touch in F1 and neither car has lost any time or track position.

Oh well, easy come easy go.

Juan only gave Rubins a love tap,,,,,He was never gonna try and take him out....They are buddies remember.

Interesting situation about the tyres though. Dunlop has all three tyres sorted out and Pirelli only had two sorted....Ok given Pirelli have only been back in F1 for 2 years now,,,you would have thought they and the teams would have an Inter sorted by now.

Michael was always going to win that race,,,rain or no rain. He was all over Juan in the 1st 3rd of the race,,,but Juan did really well to stay in 3rd on full wets in the 2nd stint.

Would have been interesting if Rubins could have started in his rightful grid position. God that pissed me off......

Neil.

Nah,,,I was on those bloody blue pills you gave me last Saturday night Paul,,,,you know I can't handle anything stronger than the Yellow ones.....

Thanks for that Guy's......

Neil goes back to his rocking chair about now.

    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
