Hi all,

got a jap ecu for R33 GTST for either series 1 or 2. Manual car only. If your car is automatic, buy it at your own risk, not been tested for auto.

tuned to Drift by Garage 50 - maximum power workshops in japan.

impressive 311 HP @ 14psi. dyno sheet has a power output comparison with the stock ecu set at 14psi. :ninja:

Garage50 ecus have been tuned to suit 98oct fuel

311 hp @ 14psi. with stock engine/turbo - 3" turbo back exhaust, front mount, and boost controller. the speed limiter is removed and the boost cut is removed too. :ninja:

This ECU puts out great low to midrange torque with the standard turbo which is great for drifting. and you would get even more hp with a bigger turbo and other mods. Fully tested and working!

im after $450 posted around australia..via registered post!!!

cheers

mate, these were selling on ebay not long ago for around $300!

i placed a bid on one for a mates car!

goodluck with the slae either way!

but i have never heard or seen this ecu's in action!

yeh..i have proof of the auction which i bought this for..and ebay's are auctions..therefore prices always fluctuate..

i havnt put it in yet, only got it couple days ago..but since then found out my turbo is rooted.. so need the money to upgrade turbo and then later on ill think about gettin an ecu

thanks for ur interest though!

If anyone does have this ECU installed

give me a pm on how your car runs and

if it hasn't blown up yet xD

If no blowing up wouldn't mind getting one ^-^

still for sale.

sly-747 - i put the ecu in last night, just to see what it really does...overall car runs well..ive just noticed that the idle sits at 1000rpm, nothing that cant be fixed though.

ive also noticed that the boost hits (10psi for me) alot quicker than it did with the stock ecu. so i guess it is right about the low-midrange torque.

ive driven with this ecu for about 2 hours straight and also small 15mins trips locally. nothing seems to be wrong and everything works a treat.

2gceffy - ive had this problem with the seals of the turbo long before i got this ecu. i only found out that the problem was in the seals yesterday, and is why i put this up for sale.

thanks for your interest!

i remember looking at this, yeah its a good ecu but when for extra couple hundred you can but a 2nd hand apexi or micro why bother, ps your a tool, one of the garages in newy was selling one for 375 same time as this was on ebay so not worth 450

are you interested in buying this or not? last time i remember this was the for sale section where people who are interested in buying the item, offer a price and ask questions

if i wanted your opinion on it, then i would have posted it on the general discussion.

like i said, its ebay...at auction the prices arent always the same. so if the same one got sold for 375..good for whoever. im stating the price for which i bought it for.

cheers

  • 2 months later...

hi all, ecu still for sale..same price $450 ono..

i have been using it for the last 3 months and had no trouble with it whatsoever..

for fact, since i have put it in...i hav had no misfire or R&R..car runs great..

lookin to get wolf now..

pm thanx..

:)

Put your own car on the dyno, seriously.

Mines been fiddled with, (proven) feels uber fast, heaps quick spool up etc, BUT way too much timing out top, and it actually pings on 98Oct fuel.

Seriously, run your own car, not the japanese graph, because, I'm pretty sure you'll ping!

Just go run it now.

$80 at most places for 3 dyno runs. Do the first run with that computer in,

then swap to a standard ECU

Then swap back.

Post all 3 results.

i have a central 20 ecu, this is simmilar to that. Mine was still ritch through the mid and top range, used an SAFC II to get the AF nice.

I had to reset my CAS to about 12 deg before she would stop pinging at 15 psi.

i picked up about 60 rwkws through the midrange. have a look here.

    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
