It might be what I have. My mech said I've got a busted bolt in the clutch near the throw-out bearing. When you have the hold the car at the catch-point in reverse and then 'jockey' it on and off power a little bit (so yes, the car will jerk), the transfer of weight makes a sharp 'clack clack' noise that sounds driveline related. On the little arm that has the throw-out bearing on the end, there are two small wires/arms holding a ball-ended bolt. Apparently this bolt can snap, but the clutch still works fine, it just makes a god awful noise. For me. it is most easily heard in the situation above, but I can also hear it in the changes between 1st/2nd and 2nd/3rd, particularly if I'm a bit rough and let the clutch out a bit too fast.

Issue solved for me, looked like a worn driveshaft on one side.

Replaced with a reconditioned unit. No problems now.

Really worn driveshaft??? Might have to get mine checked out as well. This noise also drives me crazy. I Have a Kazz 1.5 way.

My issue came about after I installed the new diff. While it was getting installed the diff guy I went to called me up and advised me that the kazz diff only came with one O ring clip for one side, its were the diff shafts slid into. Was advised by person I bought it off you have to use the other standard one for the other side. But the standard one doesn’t fit . So I just left it as we couldn’t really source one out. So I think there is a little play on one side as it hasn’t been clipped in tight enough.

Just my 2c

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
