[30/12/06] ! Last Cruise Of 2006 ! [30/12/06]

Recommended Posts

Saturday 30th December 2006 - Last Cruise of 2006! Let's make it massive!

We Have Changes! Please Read Carefully!

We will no longer be meeting at BP Yatala I do apologize to the people who were going to meet us there but reason why we aren’t going to meet there is we’re going to have at least 50 cars and there will just be no room for all of us to park and we’ll end up getting broken up.

Please make sure you fill up before you come on the cruise as we won't be stopping at BP anymore.

Now, we will be going to “Showcase on the Beach” which is in Coolangatta after Broadwater Car Park, as a lot of people don’t want to finish the cruise or hang around Broadwater for a long time.

Please read the meeting spots carefully and be there on time as I know you don’t want to miss out on the last cruise of 2006!

I will be in a 93' R33 GTS25T, Gunmetal Grey, Nismo sticker on the rear window with white and black interior, so keep a eye out for me and come and say hello!

First Meeting Spot:

Aspley Pick N Pay Carpark

Corner of Gayford Street and Albany Creek Rd

Arrive: 7:00PM

Depart: 7:30PM Sharp

I will not be at the first meet (will be at the second), so you can follow Brett in a white 99 Hilux V8 if you are meeting at Aspley Pick N Pay Carpark.

Put me down as comming but I will let you know if I cant make it.

Cheers

Awesome :( We've now almost got 70 people for the last cruise of 2006! There should be a few Skylines there also!

Everyone is more then welcome to attend.

I know who they are...

I dont ever want to go on another CB cruise again. Last one I went on had too much alcohol, stupidity, burnouts / street drift, police and the like...

Like it says in the first post, if anyone brakes the law they will be asked to leave. I have made that clear.

Remember this is tomorrow night guys! Be looking forward to meeting a lot of you from here!

Remember everyone is welcome and all I ask is people to follow the law like I stated in the first post, nothing stupid such as skids/burnouts/racing/speeding/drifting.

Please make sure you read the first post as there were some changes a few days ago!

So, sill plenty of time to put your names down so who else is in? Should be a awesome night!

:P:mad::O

I may be tempted to pop my cruising cherry... at least at night you won't notice how filthy my car is :s

Cool :( Hope so see you out!

Should be a good night! Can't wait!

I'm just going to say this to everyone who hasn't read the first post properly, is please do as there were changes.

Also if you don't follow these 4 simple things you will be asked to leave and if need to be your number plate will be taken and reported to the police.

Don't try and be a hero you'll just look like a dickhead more then anything.

NO Racing/Speeding

NO Burnouts

NO Skids

NO Drifting

I'm not trying to be a asshole I just don't want to see anyone injured or dead on a cruise I've organized I'll feel really bad. just think of your loved ones and count to 3. :)

Other then that, should be a really good night, looks like quite a few people are attending (almost 100 from CB and BC) - so lets get into it!

    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
    • OK, if it idles at 1000+ with the AAC, its not an idle airflow problem. The cold start valve just gives extra air when the engine is cold, but you have enough air without it to idle at 1000. I think you are back to a fuel problem, sorry. Can you see the fuel pressure staying constant or does it drop as the revs drop to a stall?
