Hey guys,

I have for sale one set of 6 factory conrods for RB26DETT.

Perfect for an RB24 project in a GTS-T, or ready for shotpeening and strengthening for use in your RB26 rebuild!

These are of no use to me now, and as such I am selling them off cheaply for a quick sale.

Chasing $150 for the set of 6 - Pickup available in Sydney

Happy to post at the buyers expense.

Thanks

will these fit an RB30,if so how much stornger (hp)are they and does it result in the same compression ratio

There is an RB25T engine at my work at the moment. I measured up the crank for size and it has rb30 mains and sr20 bigend sizes as standard. The RB25 be's are smaller than std. rb30 be's. I can quote std sizes if needed. For an RB30 you can use Chev 2" bigend rods (eagle/ carillo) and grind to suit (-.030'), or just buy a set of good rods to suit your application! I can't quote compression because I don't know the rod lengths. My 2 cents.

Hi, how much to send these babies to Brisbane?

PS. im still deciding either to mod (forged internals) my car or to sell it.

RB26 rods are very strong and can handle 350-400kw without a problem.

Postage to Brisbane would be around $15

    • Tried to make 1/8npt threads into compressor house of the turbo for my EBC. Threads got fu#ked and ended up with and elongated hole, so I do have good amount and nice threads 90% of the hole but 10% I only had 1-2threads there and rest of it is flush on that side of the hole.. So my idea is to do M12 x 1.25 to AN4 with braided lines instead of 1/8npt to 4mm vacuum silicone hose.  and hopefully get a better thread. M12 is quite big and AN4 is a little bit bigger than 4mm (4.9mm inner diameter braided PTFE hose). but this should work. Thoughts? Otherwise I will weld and adapter onto the turbo.
    • Looks great, I hope everything is working well after all that time!

    • Ok a solution was found. I had left the factory oil temp sensor in and it was hooked up. My car never had the triple gauges.  Apparently when you delete the factory pressure and leave the temp sensor connected it triggers the oil light on the dashboard. Disconnected the temp sender, no more light.  I still haven't gotten around to look at the diagrams to figure out how/why they are tied together.
