Power Steering Noise

[NFAA32]

hey guys, im getting a stuttering type noise coming from power steering, when i turn left in my r32 gtr, firstly. its only when turningleft. not right... and its only turning left from straight (ie doesnt do it after youve turned right and are straightening the wheel)...

also, it doesnt do it on a stand still (which you would think it should as there is most resistance to the ps when vehicle stationary)

so.. is it the pump? or the rack? im leaning towards the rack. as it would sound to me like a variation in pressure... the pump coul dbe at fault, but my thinking would lead me to if it was the pump, it should make the noise both ways. which it is not doing..

any info is greatly appreciated.

Stupid question : check fluid?

sorry to revive the thread, car was off the road to get the clutch rebuilt. anyway i still h avent fixed the problem..

fluid and belt were checked and fine..

also. it seems to do it once the fluid is warm..

so if i leave car for a day or so.. it wont do it for about 10mins of driving...
