another one for speed. i'd rather look at the old issues of speed than buy any of the mags on sale at the moment.

then again, I see why they binned it in favour of quality publications like "2DMAX". :esarcasm:

agreed Speed ftw...it was a quality magazine with (most of the time) decent cars from the street and track.

I think we should all write a letter to the editor of HPI portraying our disgust that they think our SCC06 was "old news" and not original enough. The highest number of imports are Skylines, so why don't they listen to their largest group?

They are clutching at straws if they think most of us can afford half the cars they display in the mag lately. I loved the story on the Evo IX MR, but I cannot afford one and will continue to mod my Skyline.

This magazine needs to hear from us in bulk and realize that their largest fan-base is not happy.

My HPI subscription ceased and will not be renewed. I will get the latest one purely for a couple of personal reasons.

I still get Zoom as its the closest to Speed...I miss that mag...

I also buy whichever mag has a car in it that I have detailed....wall of fame sort of thing, should be another one shortly...

Auto salon Mag is gay...pick up the current issue and read the page that describes what it is like to drive a turbo.....It was the gayest thing I have ever read....and I read the script for broke back mountain

:laughing-smiley-014:

I buy it when I am traveling or stuck somewhere near a newsagent for hours.

I think I might get a Zoom subbie, always loved the tech articles.

Drift battle... what a waste of a magazine. I don't care if they relate drift to imports so much, it's a shitty sport imo.

Only time I should be seeing drift is in rally... -_-`

drift battle is my favourite mag too, mainly because ther cars arent top dollar blang blang machines like the HPI cover cars, and they also have alot more cheap DIY articles like flaring guards or installing a hydo handbrake. HPI tech articles are either how to not run too much boost or a thiny disguised otomoto catalouge. I still like it but its no where near as good as it used to be. the majorety of the jap feature cars are top level ones, whcih is good but seeing ones that youve never seen before is alot better.

anyone else noticed that HPI seem to be liking R31s alot lately? 3 issues in a row there have been import 2 doors (none of which are from the r31 club) yet the author always seems to talk down the r31 saying how old and dated it is, but how the owner has done such a spectaculor job of bringing it into the new century by putting some ghey rims on it or painting the dashboard marble pattern.

I like zoom but really havent ever got around to getting a sunscription lol. maybe ill get that instead of hpi next time..

    • The filter only filters down to a specific size. Add to that, the filter is AFTER the pump. So it means everything starts breaking your pump even if its being filtered out.
    • Just like in being 14mm too small (296mm) makes it not fit, being 14mm too big (324mm) it also won't fit. You want to find the correct rotor.
    • @GTSBoy Ok so that was the shops problem...they showed R33 rotors on R34 page and i did not know 296 do not fit(and are for R33) Yes i bought "kit" with rotors and pads. Pads are ok(i have GTT calipers front and rear). They have some 324mm but no 310mm. So i dont know if they would fit. I have 17inch LMGT4s So another question. Can i fit those in the rear or they are just "too" big for that?
    • I started removing the tank a while back with the intent to give it a proper clean. Got to a bolt that I couldn't undo completely due to a diff being in the way, so just said f**k it and siphoned the gluggy old fuel out and called it a day. Looking it the tank it looks less corroded than the one in the pics for that billet hanger from Frenchy's anyway. Isn't it the fuel filters job to worry about this stuff? I scraped off most the crusty shit of the hanger but will give it another go before reinstall coz maybe the fuel and return pipes are also full of gunk
    • Pretty sure it is a common fault. I believe this is the only part you need, but don't quote me as I don't have a V36.  I also believe it is a bit of a pain to change and the device needs to be encoded to the car once it is replaced, so may need someone with the right tools.
