Boost Gauge Problem

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help shed some light. Had my FMIC, boost controller, and boost gauge all installed but the gauge is very inaccurate. Car goes much better than before but my boost gauge only fluctuates between 0-4psi (gauge goes to 30psi and its definitely set higher than 0-4psi). The right line has been tapped, I can blow through the line at the end under the bonnet and the air comes out the other end, the line doesnt seem to be pinched at all. The gauge has power and is all connected. The gauge I have is an auto gauge brand ($35 off ebay). Do you think this is possibly just a cheap and nasty gauge? Has anyone else had experience with those gauges? Or any other ideas? Any help appreciated.

test it with another guage if you can, easiest way to check.

make sure you have some sort of tie or metal ring around the connections so you dont get a leak , it will in doubtly effect it . i had a similar experience and found it fixed the problem . or unless its a shit gauge .

just jap gauges are great - get one of them if in doubt of it working properly

piece of shit guage. i have the same one and it is wildly innaccurate. 9psi on the dyno's guage means 14psi on the boost guage in the cabin. get a decent one i reckon.

ive installed 3 of them autogauge gauges.. all work perfectly fine. will be using the smoke series gauges soon as they look better.
