Hey everyone,

We all know how bad the Falken 326's have been. I have been lucky or unlucky depending which way you look at it to get 26,000kms from my rears. They are due for replacement and it has been suggested that the 329's are a vast improvement over the superseeded 326's. Has anyone tried these and are they any better?

Look forward to hearing your replies.

Cheers

Chris

Thanks for the reply Nismo I will look into it. I cant explain how bad the 326's were I thought my suspension was failing me because of the ride but I had that all tested and everything was fine. Turned out the tyres were the issue.

Ive seen peoples rating on them in the tyre thread and I agree with everyone comments. Worst tyre I have ever had.

Forget bout the 329s unless you are a cab driver. Look at the FK452s instead, thats what I was recommended as its the newer version combining thread patterns from the previous 451 and ST115.

I've got these ( FK452 ) on my car now and they're pretty good. 245/40/18 Front & 275/35/18 Rear.

They're not as good as the Toyo T1R's ( and other, more expensive tyres ) but for the $'s they do the trick. They seem to be more of a low cost "Euro Sports Car" tyre with quiet tread, not the firmest sidewalls but have decent grip. I just hope they last longer than FK451's did !

Im amazed you are even considering 329's after having 326 and know how incredibly shit they are. Seems very strange.

Pick a budget and shop around, falkens arent the only tyre that exists, and spending more on a set of tires is worth it. why have a performance car with mods and shit tyres.....

Was told they were a better designed tyre than the 326's and was offered them at a very good price which is the reason why I asked.

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds like you have been lucky. I must of got some duds or something as I stated my rears lasted roughly 26,000k's

    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.

    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
