I have a Turbotech MBC but I'm thinking of replacing it with an EBC. One thing I like about this MBC is that the wastegate actuator sees no pressure till the desired boost presure is reached which means boost comes on really quick. Does the Apexi AVC-R work in the same way or does it allow boost to start leaking through to the actuator before the full level of boost is achieved?

Also if I was to get the Power FC option instead, does the hand controller allow all the same functionally as the AVC-R unit and what unit of measurement does it use for boost?

Thanks! :)

as covered in the powerfc faq, the only option the pfc boost control kit does not offer over the avc-r is the gear judge feature. the rest is the same.

the duty cycle will let you control how much pressure to show the gate spring before it opens. much like most convetional boost controllers. the duty cycle decides how much to open / close. its a ratio

OK thanks guys, I have found the info I needed in the FAQ and on the forums. One thing I could not find is wether or not you can change the unit of measurement on the Power FC boost control kit to anything other that Kg/cm2?
