:sorcerer:

many thanks!

i cant find one around me for the right price

Im paying 3,000 USD for a fully loaded dual sunroof stagea (im having kids, the solid engine moune 12k/10k spring sileighty isnt gonna cut it)

but i dont want to give up drifting. and i have a few grand to be able to do the mods i need (suspension, manual, wheels)

plus it has almost 2 full years of SHaken-sho

rb25 rwd box has different tailshaft as the rwd is a yoke that slides in the back of the box and the 4wd has a plate that bolts onto the back of the transfer case, just rip the front driveshaft off the 4wd box and its rwd (still leave all 4wd sump, front axles, etc )

im unsure if the gtst tailshaft will be the correct length, but u will need it for the gtst 5 speed box if u go that option, and maybe have shaft lengthened or whatever it needs to fit.

so it wont damage my transmission at all just not running the front driveshafts?

In that case ill just get an R33 GTS4 or GTR mission

nope it wont damage nothing running it without the front driveshaft

im talking the single front driveshaft that goes from the tf case to the front diff, not the axles going to each wheel, they can stay as per normal 4wd operation

4 bolts and the driveshaft slides out the tf case and the hole in the tf case is even sealed so u dont have to plug it up.

happy drifting :(

but the problem is the tranny to use

DOes anyone know if i can use a RWD transmission with slight modification (or know someone that has)

since we have established i can use a GTS4 or GTR transmission and leave the front driveshaft unhooked.

im just looking at all my options, it is easier to source a rwd tranny than an AWD

awd tranny is cheaper and easier :(

gtr boxes with tf case are about $800-$1000 and heaps of them around and gtst go for like $1500+ and rare as everyone wants them

Where have you seen GTR Boxes for $800? Before I bought mine from Jap auctions I was quoted $2000 for a GTR box.

I had the option of 3 GTR boxes when I bought mine

R32 GTS4 $350 (not as strong as a gtr box)

R32 GTR $500

R33 GTR $800 and only 46k's, so I bought this one

There are a few guy's on this forum with RWD models, maybe they could post up some pic's of the underside of their car for you, so you can get a idea

Aren't Stagea's the same length as a r33 in wheel base? That way the r33 GTST tail shaft will fit?

Where are you located Japan?

around me im looking at 600-800 for a r33 gtr box, and a few hundred less for a r32.

Im really worrid about the RWD setup.

I was thinking the same with eh R33 GTST driveshaft..it SHOULD be the same length.

And now i have to worry about a diff as well

this is a headache

This Stagea is being built for drift, AWD will never be used anwyays

I am in the Kanto plane of japan. By tachikawa

well the wife said that i have to get something more family friendly

2gu3.jpg

solid engine mounts and 300 HP isnt really family friendly...plus you have to have an interior for that also lol

i pan on continuing my drifting with the stagea

I have already sourced all the items i need mostly,

going with a 14k/12k suspension setup.

Nismo 2 way diff

and once i get this whole tranny figured out i will be doing that as well

i have about 3700 USD to play with for mods. so it sohuld be fun.
