When i was in Japan in 05 I saw a fair few of the Cubes. They look like an awesome car and nothing like what we can get here. I immediately wanted one, but only to be told we cant get them here!

Im excited that they are coming.....but not at 25k!!!

Hmmm - I'm writing this in Nagoya, maybe I should try and pick one up while I'm here...

Maybe one of the so called experts, back yarder's or leeches of the import industry who have been around for 10 minutes will get on the band wagon and bring in a shitter..................but as you are aware they are too late.

If you buy one kristian get an early 2003 due to emissions test vehicle.

They won't be $25K, nowhere near it, and DRIFTT-san, I didn't pick one up today (bought too many big $$ cars this week so had to sacrifice my own purchases for the team) but will get in soon once some money is back in the bank in Japan. I'll give you a buzz when I get back.

Cube on the SEVS (507/00) what about the rest RAWS compliance. i.e. I'm asking

How can I get a Nissan Cube here?

http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/sevs/507-00.htm

thats the address for the cube, and have found out that cubes are selling for around 850000Yen FOB, so landed around 14 or so thousand AU, especially with the yen at 101.50 to $1 AUD. will be definately looking into and investing one probably once i see them on the RAWS list.

^^^Sold in Japan, but only as imports from the US, in LHD only. Stupidly expensive...

Sold in Japan, imported from the US? Dude, all of these cars are made in Hino Japan.

Mistype i guess.

Yeah, i missed the post.

The other post wasn't aimed at you, but I'll try again regardless.

Yes, the cars were built in Japan for the US and Canadian markets only, not for local consumption, then a US importer brought them back in to Japan from the US as private imports, in the same way we bring Skylines here.

Japan has no regulations requiring cars having to be RHD, so none of them are converted. Go into a Benz dealership in Japan and you can choose whether you'd like left or right hand drive.

Yes, im well aware o the RHD/LHD situation here. Obviously thats no good for me as im exporting to Oz.

Its daft that the cars get made here, shipped out and then shipped right back in. Simply absurd.

There's a whole industry devoted to it over there - American-spec LHD Japanese cars brought back in to Japan and sold at ridiculous price. Very weird, but understandable when the whole LHD foreign car thing carries much more status.

    • Not at all, pure street use, touge, even drag strip and you'll be fine   There's a larger version of it too, however would be overkill for your application. If you do plan on using that sump, might as well fit a headdrain/crank case vent to help alleviate crank case pressure. Your mechanic will also notice you cannot re-use the AWD windage trays on the motor too, as it fouls with the AWD -> RWD sump. However given your usage, you'll be fine.
    • @GTSBoy yeah but the MAIN problem is that "you" guys may know that but i/my mechanic did not. I literally spend hours to find differences between Stagea and Skyline engine (even here) and found kinda "nothing" Yeah one guy mentioned that the block is larger/wider but nothing about the oil pan. Of course AWD has different one but "everybody" says...yeah just slap RWD pan... and the parts number for my N/A engine and NEO DET were the same so iam using one from my old engine. And of course being in EU/Czech many of the sites did not even show(i need VPN to be here)... @MBS206NO it is not my channel and not my video. Dont even know the guy. I just post this as a reference cuz i have the same problem. As i said you guys in AU/NZD may know this but here it is kinda a new info cuz IF someone doing this swap they already have oil pan or they make custom one.  @Dose Pipe Sutututu Yeah it is AWD RB25DET NEO Yeah as you mentioned the pick up is in a different place ...but i do not drift or track the car. It is and will be strictly street and just "casual" weekend cruiser. With that "custom" pan as shown in the video...could there be some problems?  For others. Iam sorry if that topic "looks" like i want to show/boost some YT channel or numbers. Iam quite the opposite.  I would rather drive my car thru sewers than get the attention that this car gets here. I do not have any YT channel nor IG/Twitter or TikTok. I just want some info from time to time cuz here...there is none :-)
