Looks great man,

On an unrealted note, i dont really understand how your boost control is set up.

How come there is a vacum line running from the intake pipe into the boost control solenoid?

And how come there is the vacume line running off the cooler pipe into the boost controler but no vacum line running from the controller to the waste gate actuator?

Haha am i missing something here?

Cheers

That has to be one of the coolest projects I've seen. You could have the front section up near the turbo kept the same and then a thinner section put on up to the airbox to keep the diameter and some silicone in there somewhere to keep the flexibility.

Impressive man, very impressive.

thats a cool idea, but i personally would have got all the ribs through the pipe removed, so more there is a more direct flow. would definitely help as it won't suck in like a factory pipe though.

with changing it, would it heat up more than the stock as the stock is rubber and this is aluminium? because i'm thinking about changing mine but still doing abit of research to see if it heats up more or not.

im considering putting the afm into the cooler piping, and using a stock intercooler pipe for the intake, and welding or putting some nipples on it for the two hoses that connect to the intake pipe, i think this stock cooler piping i got is 2.5 inches, but i like it caus it already has a bend in it and its blackk...

i might even try and weld it to a custom box, that has a pod inside, so its all in one, intake-box-pod,

anyideas of how i could weld some nipples on the piping, i think its steel,

or should i just get a 3" pipe to connect to the turbo, and etc

    • It's a lottery, no one is going to be able to predict how much HP YOUR engine is going to handle as history has a huge part to play.    As examples though. I have one rb26 on 630rwhp, running 16 years now at that level, track use, only a couple of times a year.  Another 790rwhp, about 2 years now, driven every weekend.    If i was to give you a "safe" number I would say 450rwhp on 98 and 550-600 on e85.  Seen plenty of motors pop with less though too
    • Fair play on the 120k, sorry just live in nanny Aus.  High rpm on cruise would kill me too.    On the gears, its not just first, so beside the fact I really enjoy that nice punch you get when you accel in first. 2nd is all messed up in the gearsets too. Most people I know with gearsets(even sequentials) have to drop into 1st for tarmac rally slower corners as second gear is too low in rpm, its painful. Translate to the street, I am using a 2.3 gear out of a low speed turn, gearset you got a 1.7 second. I can tell you now between my two cars which one is a LOT more fun.    On a track its a different story, once the car is moving the gearset ratios are supreme, 1st gets you going on a big rpm launch, then 2nd is no issue for the corner speed on most tracks.    Yer the price sucks  , old enough to remember these selling for $1500usd here in Aus.
