Gtr Clutch Upgrade To Handle 300rwkw

Yea yea i know cheap and being able to handle 300rwkw is a bit of an ask but any ideas what price range am i looking at??? will those heav duty single plate excedy clutches do the trick??

Your starting to make some hp there, I'm guessing cheap is a word that you'll have to start removing from your vocabulary. There are alot of threads on clutches....like this one

I don't think the excedy can hold that kind of power, but i've never tried. Try Jim Berry, or Xtreme, or UAS, they all have single plate clutches that should be able to hold that power. Should be around the $1000 mark, give or take...

i'm really interested in a jim berry clutch i want somthing that's drivable but can be used on the track say twice a year and on the drags every now and then.

so has anyone out there got a jim berry clutch with those specs and how much did it set you back??

I,ve had a Jim Berry(Race Clutch) single plate for some time now,never had any drama,s holding 270rwkw.

I had him build it to hold over 300rwkw,(400rwhp)which is not too far away now.

Only had to adjust linkages above the pedal.Soft feel just like a standard clutch.

Jim knows his stuff!

Cost was somewhere around $600-800 i think?

I had a Direct Clutch hi torque 5 puck ceramic, lasted 7 months. The car has 300rwkw. Granted its in a heavy Autech wagon but you should start looking at a twin plate real quick. Like keetsy said, drop the word cheap, its not going to happen.

Power soon to be above the 400kw mark so I will let you know how it goes.
