Want to get stainless steel intercooler piping on my r32. Got a FMIC.

I got it out of a kit I found that the piping suplied just did not fit up right at all, So i modified and found that the pipies are not all .round

So fed up want to get it done properly.

Anyone know any reasonably priced places that will fabricate it up,

and how much will aprox cost.

Thanx.

Hey dude... they usually charge by the hr for welding.. i know my workshop charge like $88 or sumfin per hr cos its "welding" and its more hazardous or sumfin... not too sure... but a good fabricator can knock sumfin like that off in a couple of hrs... then you have your bends and striaght s/s pipes which are like $15-$20 per bend depending where you get it from, your best bet is to go to a workshop that does it and ask for full price... btw s/s looks HEAPS better than the shit alloy pipe they give you in kits.. just a bit more $ lol

yeah but the allulminum pipes are lighter.. wher as SS aint. and the weakest link is still elbow joints and or silicone hoses. so dnt need SS. mild steel is fine too if u like the rust look.

call up ECC they can do it.

also which FMIC kit did u use..?

Try Xtreme Automotive

(07) 3290 0107

they specialise in custom piping/fabrication

mate took me down there for my supra at the time...intercooler was damaged aswell

they fixed and welded up cooler, chrome stainless steel 2.5 piping, the whole works...$700

otherwise, do it urself kits are available from autobarn for most skylines...however, price wise it will prolly cost the same

I can highly recommend Steve from Motion Garage. Tig welding is excellent and nice shiny finish if it means anything to you. Steve specialises in intercooler kits, custom exhaust manifolds and full stainless exhaust systems. I think I have some photos of his work in my gallery.

    • Plan on the day will be to park trackside. Depending on space availability we will try put a small shade tent and a few of the cars on top of the hill inside turn 3, this is an easy to get to parking area with views of Turn 2, Turn 3, Turn 4 and Turn 5 and limited other pieces of the view around the track. IMPORTANT NOTE! One consideration from previous years is from memory the trackside parking sells out before the admission tickets, for that reason I encourage anyone planning on coming to buy tickets for parking now via the official website; https://www.worldtimeattack.com/ The type of parking you are looking for is 2 Day Park & View (Access Around Venue) Vehicle Pass Only Please note this does not include admission to the event itself, remember to grab that also, and kids under 12 get in for free!
