Me too!!!

Plus I'm still trying to get my sh!t together so I can actually buy a Skyline - no use going on cruises until I can at least keep up with you all when you're all pushing your cars at 3/4 of their potential.

Skyline vs. Corolla isn't much fun for me, but I should be able to balance the scales a bit better soon when the Corolla makes way for an R-32.

Carlo... ya beat me too it!

Bleach1,

If you want to see first hand what we will be doing once cams affiliated at the end of the month (keeps fingers crossed that cams gets their stuff together affiliates us), Drop by Eastern Creek on Monday the 9th of June. There will be plenty of cars/people there to chat to including 1 x Pres (Prank), 1 x membership guru (Carlo), 1 x Vocal arse kicker (B-Man) and 1 x Events Co Ordinator (Me) (I think that the News letter Girl, Kel, might even make an apperience?) that you can direct some more spacific Questions to.

The above goes to all those that want to know more about our club. And don't forget the General meeting on the 1st. 1 thing I know is that all the members of the commity are very approachable... so just fire off a few question to a couple of them and we will get back to you shortly.

Hope this helps,

Dan.

Hi Everyone/Carlo,

I haven't joined 'cos I drive a WRX, and there's really not much chance I'll be trading up to a Skyline in the near future unfortunately.

I'm only on here 'cos you guys go to the pub for a beer after track days-mmmmmmmm......beeeeeer. Seriously though, I've met a few of you guys through Fatz at trackdays etc and you all seem to be fairly easy-going and like-minded car nuts.

Cheers,

Ben

Everybody is eligible... you won't even get knocked back if you drive a beat up Holden or a 1962 mini cooper... I heard that we will even except excel drivers... but they must park at different areas of car parks when we cruise! (jokes)

Scott ya dick... we don't have any stickers... it is all just a big scam. :P (j/k)

Depeding on how many people we get signing up in the next few days (ie at the General meeting at Homebush on 1/6/03 and the track day 9/6/03) hopefully not too long... but we need a few membership forms to do all at once so it costs less per card.

Dan.

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
