All the poor dude that posted it wanted was opinions on the offer he was given in open mind.

I think its reasonable mate but there at alternatives to do it cheaper

Jesus , is this thread still going?? !!

I totally agree there are ways to do it cheaper but Lance asked for an emailed quote which I gave.

Of course on a 20K there is margins but why would I give that away to a person I have never seen or met before.

If lance wants to come in and discuss the quote and put a deposit down then that is fine.

If he doesn't then that is also his perogative but I would have liked him to explain EVERYTHING his asked for hence why the quote is pricier.

Yes , he could have used china, yes he could have used Power FC , yes he could have used KKR etc but that wasn't what he asked for.

FFS , I am a little jack of having to justify this to all and sundry who jump on , it was supposed to be a quote to one person based on one persons desire of what they want , not a public debate of whether we are cheaper/better/worse than shop XYZ.

Mods , I think it's time this shut down as I have better things to do than keyboard warrior with every person that thinks they know better/more/less/cheaper/china/easier/quicker *insert whatever you want *

if you stand by your quote, you shouldnt have to say anything.

the guy asked for some info on the quote, and he was given info.

it wasnt specified that he wanted to use top shelf parts, otherwise people wouldnt have mentioned china manifold and the like.

it also may not have been specified to you, but he said the car is stock as a rock, so we told him what supporting mods he will need to keep it at 420-460rwhp.

not everyone knows the in/outs of an RB25, thats why they go to workshops/forums for help.

lance asked people on this forum for their opinion and they are giving it

i dont see any problem with that and discussing whats cheaper , whats better

that is basically the purpose of this forum

it might have run its course tho , he definetly has enough info to consider now

Whoa what a response, Im glad all u guys in SAUWA sure come together on a topic like this, even if your not all on the same sides of the fence.

Again, I was just after opinions not a flame fest, (maybe I left it a bit open but I did not expect workshops to start arguing lol) and I did not go into specific detail of my personal goal for the r33 because I dont have one, apart from wanting quality parts (for which I was quoted for), and a quality tuner/workshop which is why I went to Hyperdrive (45 mins from where I now live in Lesmurdie)

I will be perusing this quote through Hyperdrive, Just waiting on funds which shouldn't be to long.

For all those who help me come to this decision thanks :)

p.s I already had a china copy car, I just wanted to see/feel the real thing in action.

I agree, close thread time

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
