TrentGTR
Hey, urgent question! I am buying the CLARION VRX765VD from ebay, its being sent from America. But before I make the payment, does anyone know if this will definately work for Australian formats? Will it work with Australian DVDs, Australian CD's, Australian Ipods etc. ? I understand that the Australian model is called the VRX766VD....they look totally the same. Wat do you guys rekon? (Im getting the VRX765VD 500 bux cheaper then the VRX766VD (retail) ) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/164847-would-the-vrx765vd-be-compatible/ Share on other sites
raz0r$harP.UK
The VRX765VD is designed to play Region 1 DVDs (Aussie ones are Region 4). So no it won't play them, and as far as I'm aware there is no way to unlock the VRX765VD. Hence one of the pitfalls of buying international. No local warranty support, some features may not here. How much are you paying for it by the way? Adelaideprosound
You cant use the Ipod unless they supply the Ipod cable. You are better off buying local with warranty and everything will work fine. jjjDavey
$1300 is pretty damn cheap for a local model for $900 you will be looking at import duty and GST on top which may push it up to around 1100 (if they use Fedex or UPS they charge a fee as well as the duties) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/164847-would-the-vrx765vd-be-compatible/#findComment-3056733 Share on other sites
