Hi Everyone.

Some of you may remember this r32. It was for sale a few months ago. I imported the car my self, and unfortunatly it failed compliance due to the 'jacking points' being pushed in more then 20mm. This could have been caused from a number of things, my guess is the car forlifts in japan. The workshop i was using has been shut down, and now im stuck with a car that cannot be 'legally' complied registered.

Everything else about the car is perfect. It drives excellently, it has the power that it should have and it is clean, inside and out.

It is totally ridiculas, but im not going to get into that here because i could go on complaining and winging for ever. Yes i've lost alot of money, and yes i've thought about wrecking it. All because the jacking points were pushed in 2mm more then what is allowed. But i've moved on from cars now and i'm just going to cut my losses and sell it as is.

Basically, the car is is in very good condition. Hard to believe for a car that got rejected hey? The motor is in perfect (82,000kms on clock) and the gearbox is tight and the clutch is bouncy and fresh. The car was resprayed Gold in japan. It is very tidy inside and out, and looks great as you can see from the pics.

All the compliance work has been carried out on this car (full service etc, even though it isn't complied) and i've driven this car about 500kms, just on a dealer plate and had no problems what so ever.

Its a Gold 1990, r32 Gts-t Type M

Manual

Turbo

Aftermarket suspension

The steering wheel was returned to stock as well as the gearknob.

The exhaust, podfilter, gage and turbo timer have been removed, and i will be removing the cd player and radio.

I'm after $5500

Any questions etc, just post, or email at [email protected] or call on 0422373164

Regards

Mondial

mate the easiest way would be to part it out.

r32's are getting old so a lot of things would need replacing on them.

although it would be a shame to see such a nice car being wrecked, but whatyado

good luck

My worst nightmare...compliance...sorry to hear about your bad luck...

Where bouts u located? (if its there i must be blind...)

Yes this car can be used for whatever you want, just not on the road.

You only get one chance at compliance, if it doesnt pass, it doesnt pass.

thats so unfair. Surely you couldn't have the points super reinforced or something, then go back to a different engineer, it would probably be stronger than it ever was, and worthy of ADR's.. I would think.

Also can you claim anything throught the shipping insurance, or hold the car yard responsible perhaps?

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
