R33 S1 & S2 Turbos

G day, I am looking at buying a stock R33 S1 turbo so i can get it hi flowed. I have a S2 R33 and want to know if there is any difference between the two. Am i going to run into any problems buying a S1 turbo getting it hi flowed and changing it over with mine? can anyone give me some advice? cheers heaps.

no probs they will fit on and work just fine.

All R32, R33 S1, R33 S2 turbos are the same as far as I know (the R32 may be roller bearing instead of ball bearing) and the R34 is essentially the same except for the bigger VG30 rear housing. But they are all interchangable with each other so you will not have a problem fitting any stock turbos/high flows to your car.

R32 spec = RB20DET = smaller A/R compressor housing = lower flow capacity.

Go with a 25DET spec unit.

only difference between the two really is the series 1 has a steel compressor wheel and the series 2 has a nylon compressor wheel. If your buying it to highflow it wont make any difference which one you get.
