(Yes ive read the othe threads, just a few extra questions)

Im in the process of buying a cat-back exhaust and have been looking around Nengun. Their prices are cheaper until you factor in shipping from Japan which is what im having trouble with.

Basically from what i've read if the exhaust cannot be separated into pieces smaller then 1.5m then you have to organise your own freight, also i read in a thread on these forums about customs tax on items over $1000

So anyway question time :)

1. Does anyone have experience with buying from nengun

2. Im after 2 exhausts (totalling $1,500 including postage) what would be the customs tax

3. Would it be cheaper to buy the 2 exhaust separately so the cost is below $1000 or buy the 2 at the same time and split the cost

4. What kind of prices would i be looking at if the product was longer then 1.5m and i had to organise freight myself from Japan

Cheers for any help you can give

i can only vouch for smaller items but every order i have with nengun has been flawless and I have never got stopped by customs

last time I was looking for a jap catback though I found a deal in aus on a trust power extreme II that was not really any more expensive than nengun . it was about 700$ from autobarn at the time on special so thats cheaper than what your paying for 1/2 the 2 exhaust order without customs.

you will probably find with lots of places doing jap catbacks at realy good prices nengun is not much cheaper after freight and not worth the extra effort .. the 1000$ tax free is only on things in the mail , like EMS . If you use a shipping company the limit is 250 or something (have to check that but definetly lower) and I have always had to pay customs on freighted items , they seem to always get picked even for smaller items , last one was about 500$ in value still got caught in customs had to pay fees and duty.
